Wine O’clock May Actually Be Good For Your Skin!

I am always on the look-out for all things anti-aging, and have discovered something that will be good news for those ladies who enjoy a glass of red wine every now and again. Red wine, and purple or red grapes are excellent for your skin and your health!

Apparently, red wine, purple and red grapes contain something called Resveratrol which is actually a pretty potent antioxidant. Resveratrol has some awesome super-powers. Not only does it help in the battle against aging, but it promotes weight loss, increases energy and helps to fight off cancer.

How does Resveratrol work? It activates a group of genes by the name of sirtuins which actually work to protect our cells from the effects of UV radiation. They assist in cellular repair and look after our DNA. Resveratrol helps by eradicating evil free radicals like pollutants and environmental toxins, so that they don’t harm your skin. It works to slows down the aging process by helping to keep skin tissue healthy, and maintaining collagen levels and skin hydration. Your skin will look firmer and younger for longer.

How can you incorporate Resveratrol into your daily life? Tuck into a bunch of red or purple grapes, or have a glass of red wine in the evening. You can also take a supplement like Solal’s Resveratrol Extra Strength or Zest for Life’s Resveratrol & Alpha Lipoic Acid capsules.
