Make That Time of the Month Smooooth with The Kit

Life is tough enough for a teen, let alone having to content with the arrival of a ‘monthly visitor’. Don’t let your daughter go in unprepared. Here’s how to make sure her first period is smooth sailing:

Spoil her with a cute purse pre-filled with the following essentials:

1. Tampons
Include different sizes for different flows so she’s prepared for every eventuality.

2. Clean underwear
A pretty pair of knickers in case her period arrives unexpectedly.

3. Painkillers
Ibuprofen and aspirin relieve period-related cramps and headaches.

4. Wet wipes
Gentle, non-scented wipes will help her stay fresh.

Here’s how to pamper your daughter at home when the big day arrives:

1. A hot water bottle
Heat blocks pain signals, much like a painkiller, so a little heat applied to her tummy will work wonders on period pains.

2. Herbal tea
Chamomile, ginger and peppermint are soothing and great for helping her beat that ‘blah’ feeling on period days.

3. Chocolate
Our favourite feelgood food will boost her serotonin levels and improve her mood.
