The Holy Grail Of Makeup Mascaras?

MAC-fall-2010-Haute-and-Naughty-lashImagine finding a makeup mascara so perfect that you would never have to pain stakingly search and try out a gazillion mascaras again. I never have only one mascara in my kit I always have at least 10, this one is for this, this one is for that, this one is for something or another….. It’s pretty exhausting. I’ve never understood why I have to choose between having defined long lashes or thicker fuller dramatic lashes.

So imagine my excitement when I thought I had finally found the holy grail of mascara’s, Mac’s new “Haute and Naughty” this wunderproduct  not only has some of the most amazing packaging I have seen but its innovative technology combines all your wants you have ever  needed from a mascara and then some!

This perfect two-in-one mascara consists of one wand but two separate ends that the wand travels through. The first opening is smaller (the hot pink lid) and once the wand travels through this end it leaves all excess product in the tube allowing for softer longer defined lashes. The second opening (glitter purple lid) allows more formula to go on the brush causing a more dramatic fuller lash look.

Now this is what makes this mascara the bees knees for me,  not only can you use the same mascara for two totally different lash looks but if you apply them both pink lid first and purple lid second you best be ready to see your lashes like you have never seen them before. Prepare yourself for long defined thicker lashes that look like false lashes yet are as real as ever! Expect no blotchiness, clumps or mess just fabullashes.

Unfortunately this product has one down side for me and that is the formula is not waterproof therefore as the Holy Grail goes I have not come to find it yet. When washing the formula off my lashes I also find that it stings quite a bit so just be sure to be extra gentle and rather use Clarins make up remover then water.

That being said this makeup mascara is still as close to perfect as I have ever found but yet the search still continues!
