Create your own lip scrubs for the perfect set of submissive lips. Read these beauty tips for more info.

Dry, chapped lips are a common occurrence and it’s something that happens to us mostly in the winter months but it’s also a sign of lack of hydration in the body.

If you’re like me then that can happen throughout the year as I sometimes forget to drink the appropriate amount of water (naughty, naughty).

Lip scrubs are one of those wonderful beauty tools that you can use to ensure that you can slough off any dry, flaky skin to reveal the beautiful, soft, glowing skin beneath that is utterly kissable.

Lip scrubs are one of the easiest things to make in your kitchen and I’ve dug up a couple of recipes that you can try.

Honey Lip Scrub
You will need the following:
    1 teaspoon of honey
    1 teaspoon of baking soda
    few drops of olive oil

Mix the honey and baking soda until a smooth paste is formed.
Apply the mixture on your lips and leave it on for a few minutes then gently rub the lips to remove dead skin.
Wash your lips with water and apply the olive oil to your lips. Done!

Salt & Sugar Lip Scrub
Mix salt, white sugar and Vaseline. Apply the mixture on your lips and gently rub the mixture into your lips.
Wash your lips with warm water to reveal beautifully soft and kissable lips beneath.

Rose Almond Lip Scrub
You will need:
1 tsp rosewater
1/2 tsp almond flour or finely ground almonds

Mix ingredients into paste and apply. Rinse with warm water. Done!

Pumpkin, Sugar, and Spice Scrub
You will need:
1/2 cup cooked or canned pumpkin, pureed
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Blend in a bowl and apply the mixture and work into your lips. Rinse with warm water. Done!

Cinnamon Lip Scrub
You will need:
1 Tbsp coconut oil
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp honey
4 Tbsp granulated sugar (NOT powdered)
¼ tsp cinnamon

Place the coconut oil and olive oil in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high 30 seconds.  The coconut oil will not be completely melted but you only need it to be easily mixed into the other ingredients. Add the honey to the oil mixture along with the cinnamon and sugar and then blend together. Apply to your lips, rinse and done!

Lip Scrub Tips:
Do store your excess scrub in a small container and keep it in a cool, dry place.

Be gentle when scrubbing your lips, the skin is very delicate.
When applying the scrub, allow it to sit on your lips for a little while before removing.

Use gentle, circular motions with your fingertips when exfoliating.

Use a warm, damp face cloth to remove the scrub.

Use your lip scrub at night and once having applied your lip balm of choice, allow it to work its full magic while you sleep. Awaken with the softest, most delicious lips!
