In preparation for my wedding last week, I had discovered a few key beauty secrets, the most important being that the best way to look radiant is happiness and hydration. Any industry expert will tell you that drinking plenty of water helps skin glow and boosts shine in your hair. For me however, a few extra glasses a day just weren't going to cut it. I was battling dryness, natural frizz, and general neglect. I had also noticed that my strand had changed, it was weak and took forever to grow.
I happened to attend one of those lady parties where they pretend to pamper you but actually punt products that you don't need. It was there that I happened upon Sh'Zen's Hot Oil Hair Repair with Jojoba and Sweet Almond oils. It contains several interesting and natural extracts including rosewood, lavender, avocado, and wheatgerm which aid in regrowth and treat brittleness as well as jojoba, hazelnut, sweet almond, rose geranium, and bergamot which restore shine, bounce, and combat dryness. Although both the actual product and the website have strangely poor instructions in terms of duration and frequency of treatment, I used it once a week; placing the entire bottle in a cup of boiled (not boiling) water and applying approximately one teaspoon on damp hair. I greenhoused my head by wrapping in clingfilm and then in a towel. After a month my hair had grown at twice the normal rate and had become softer, more manageable and visibly healthier. Not only did I experience this change but I also convinced my then fiancé, now husband, to try it as he has begun to lose hair and thickness of his strand. Not only was seeing him with a towel on his head extremely adorable but he also experienced a renewal of growth, although not as significant as I had.
To be a truly radiant bride you should focus on the true happiness of marrying the man of your dreams, just as I did. If you need a little help shining on your big day, don't be afraid to add a little hot oil.
