Sally Hansen's Firming Hand Creme

Product comes in a fun orange, pink and white packaging, though, the 100ml size would be a bit bulky for the handbag. The active ingredient is an Advanced Moisture Complex with peptides and the package claims 24 hour moisture where 'hands look up to 10 years younger in 4 weeks'.

First off, the tube is a bit on the large side, but this will only become a problem if you lug it around in your handbag all day. I leave mine at work, so the size doesn't bother me.

Two claims made by this product are that it gives 24 hour moisture, and that your hands will look up to 10 years younger in 4 weeks. I think the only time you will get 24 hour moisture is if you don't come near water for 24 hours! As for the second claim, I haven't tried out the product for that long, so can't really comment on that.

The hand cream has a nice silky texture and is easily absorbed, without leaving your hands oily or sticky. It has an amazingly fresh orange scent, and does a good job at moisturising your skin. I am enjoying this product, but at R80 I think there might be cheaper alternatives that deliver the same results.

I quite like the citrus scent of this creme. The thick formula is surprisingly not that sticky and you only need a pea-sized amount for decent hand moisturisation. I also loved the subtle shimmer that it left on my skin. Immediately, my skin felt smoother and softer. However, I suspect that their claims of younger looking hands in up to 4 weeks are a dit dodgy. I also found the 24 hour moisture claim a bit misleading as that's only true in the unlikelihood that you won't wash your hands in those 24 hours (ewww). Finally, at the risk of sounding like I royal pain, I do feel that hand moisturiser targeting ageing should have a built in SPF, and it is unfortunate that this product is lacking in that department.
