My first actual "me-in-the-video" video for beauty bulletin. Its on my all time favourite perfume, Rock 'n Rose. Bloopers and all, so hope its a good laugh.

Rock`n Rose is a fragrance for rock princesses, young women, 'irresistible elegant and provocative', as said by Valentino Garavani about his fragrance.
No matter how many years pass or the different scents I encounter, this is one perfume that will always have a special meaning to me. It was the very first perfume that I ever had the pleasure of receiving and was gifted to me by my amazing parents on my 16th Birthday.
I have very luxurious taste and boy did my parents know it, so seeing this was a new release perfume and by Fashion Mastermind Valentino, they assumed they were making the best choice. I instantly feel in love with its soft yet edgy look and appeal. The bottle, the lid, the juxtaposition of pink and black, its romantically tough rose scent...oh how the memories begin to flow.
The perfume Rock`n Rose is composed of fresh fruity ('irresistible'), classic floral ('elegant') and sensual ('provocative') nuances, just as the great Couturier said. This fragrance has a marvellous rose in its heart, softened by gardenia, heliotrope and vanilla, which also bring in a bit of intrigue in its stern sound.
The top notes are lily of the valley, black currant, and bergamot. The
heart notes are rose, gardenia, and orange blossom. The base is sandal wood, heliotrope, iris and vanilla.
The bottle is shaped like a glass sphere, it’s heavy, and unadorned and fits perfectly in your hand. It is such a simple, un-cluttered bottle that mirrors my own lifestyle. The lid is a beautiful high, diamond-edged black shaped with a silver ring at its base. The perfume itself is a light rosey pink in colour which looks amazing through the glass bottle. The box is very minimal and consists of pink and black panels with Valentino written in silver.
This perfume evokes so many fond memories of going through my turbulent teenage years. The smell is soft, sensual, provocative and feminine but all whilst being powerful and enigmatic. It definitely left an enchanting impression whenever it was used. I loved how even 2days later I could randomly smell this unique contradiction of scents on my watch strap.
Eventually once my all-time favourite perfume was finished I rushed to Edgars to stock up on another only to find that it is no longer stocked in South Africa, imagine my utter disappointment. Would you believe that 7 years on I am still searching for a scent that can stand up to the high expectations this little scent introduced me to. I did purchase it once from ebay, paying almost double for shipping and handling, only for it to be delivered in pieces :’( I have found some remorse in using Kate Moss but still miss the exclusive allure of using Rock’n Rose by Valentino.
