Perfect to give to a little girl to play make-up with or a make-up starter teen

I bought this because I was drawn to the pretty neutral colours and the cheap price. I paid R30 for mine and thought I got a bargain as most Revlon products are normally quite good.
What I didn't notice when buying it was that it is a sheer product so the colours wouldn't really show up.
I tried to use it for awhile but gave up, little too shiney without enough colour and then gave it away.
I gave it to a little girl I know who loves playing dress up. It worked perfectly for her - can't spill powder, looks light on her so it isn't embarrassing when she goes to the shops after her make-up play session and there is enough shimmer for her to like it.

I was so attracted to this neutral pallette. I don't normally wear any bright colours at all so these colours looked perfect for me. The palette contains a taupe beige, light pink, peach and white colours. They all have a slight sheen to them but the peach colour is the most shimmery and the taupe to me seems the most matte. The colours looked really soft and angelic - very pretty. They come in a great packaging with a lot of attention to detail. Each colour comes in its own pot that gets completely insulated when you close the compact so there is no spillage at all even when thrown in the bag. It also has two spaces where you can mix the shades together and comes with a soft bristle small brush specially adapted for the pots. The idea of it all is great

Here is what I don't like about it:

The colours really don't show up. You can put a ton on (and I always use a base that is meant to help them show up too) but the result is still the same - you can hardly see if you have anything on. Out of the four, the peach and the pink show up the most...but this palette is really meant for an "no makeup" makeup look.

Secondly the opening to the pots is way too small. The brush provided does fit in but then you have a brush totally dipped in eyeshadow and it all starts falling onto your cheeks when you apply it. It first needs to be tapped off which takes a lot of time for my morning routine.I ended up ripping of the top of the pots to just leave them open and it created a lot of mess.

For the price it is not completely horrible. This palette is mostly for people who are very conservative with their colours or are afraid to start wearing eyeshadow. It is a good starting point because the colous are impossible to overdo. For me personally it lacks pigmentation - it was fun to try out but I would never repurchase in the same colour.
