Q&A

Tell Us About Your Blog? Separated Sisters is a beauty, fashion and lifestyle blog – with a difference. My sister is a co-contributor so the blog is written from two perspectives with different passions and interests, career paths that are poles apart (Medicine and Economics) on two opposite sides of one city – never a dull moment!
We write about all things that inspire us, from travel and events – to beauty reviews and fashion look posts as well as life hacks and health tips and a few humorous anecdotes from our personal lives too.
We love to think of our readers as “internet friends” and always take time to engage on social media. This helps us to write not only about what’s relevant to us but also what’s relevant to the lovely people that follow our journey.

What Are Your Top Three Handbag Beauty Essentials? The first would be MAC prep and prime transparent finishing powder– everyone loves a good natural glow, but noticeable shine is a pet hate of mine – this powder has a lovely matte finish.
I always carry perfume with me, and Dior Addict 2 is my current favorite scent – so fresh and floral!
Dry lips are a problem I’ve struggled with for awhile, so I never leave the house without my Eucerin intensive lip balm, which keeps the flakes at bay.

Your Go-To Everyday Makeup Look? Medium coverage foundation that still allows for natural radiance is must for me, paired with a good concealer to create a flawless base. I usually wear lipstick a shade or two lighter than my lip colour in a neutral tone or slightly pink.
When it comes to the eyes I tend to be a bit more adventurous – I love a good cat eye and two (or even three) coats of mascara for long, volumous lashes.

Choose One:

Lipstick or Lipgloss? Lipstick. A good long wear lipstick stays on for hours on end and doesn’t require reapplication throughout the day – so convenient!

Heels or Flats? Flats – I spend too much time on my feet to frequently wear heels!

Your Failsafe ‘Ugly Day’ Beauty Fix? A blow-out, good hair-days cancel out ugly days.
