So without further ado, we asked Nirit the infamous question. “What is in your makeup bag”
Take it away Nirit!

1. Favourite product of all time. And why?
Hands down it’s the Yves Saint Laurent Touch Eclait concealer pen – with my busy schedule it’s the best thing that keeps me looking fresh all day!

2. Best budget buy?
I once walked into a mini supermarket with dry lips and went straight to the makeup section to see if I could get some lip-ice. Instead I found a great little moisturizing lipstick (in transparent pink) from an Italian brand called Debby. It also gives a little volume effect to the lips. It was cheap (about 3 euros), cute and is always in my hand-bag for those moments when I need to have that all natural yet glossy look (which I love!)

3. Secret beauty trick.
Honestly – I drink tons of water!! It’s so healthy to keep the body hydrated and cleansed cause when the body feels good on the inside, it looks great on the outside – especially the face!

I actually bought myself a reusable, eco-friendly, lightweight designer water bottle from a Swiss brand called Sigg – I never leave the house without it plus it fits snug in my handbag! http://mysigg.com

4. Best beauty advice you were ever given?
My mom always insisted that we wore sun-screen – the highest SP factor on the face, neck and chest (I use 50 block out during the summer!!)
Keeping the skin away from the sun keeps it looking younger and wrinkle-free for the future. So before I put on any makeup I make sure to apply make-up friendly sun-screen on my face…and the rest just follows! (gracias mama!)

5. Top 5 products that you simply cannot live without?
– Well my YSL touch eclait is naturally my number one!
– Dior’s “Diorshow Iconic” mascara – it brightens up the eyes so beautifully!
– Dior’s nail cream called ‘Apricot Cream’ which is this goo-like cream you apply on the skin around your nails just before going to sleep. When you wake up in the morning your finger tips look fab!
– “Ahava” Body lotion which is made up of minerals from the Dead Sea – for me this is true pampering…
– My Kiehl’s collection (for the eyes, lips and face) – need I say more?
(- ooo, and I have to throw in my bottle of “My Insolence” perfume by Guerlain – love it love it!)

Nirit Sumeruk smiling6. What’s on trend in Paris at the moment, Nirit?
The “dandy pin-up” look is quite big at the moment – meaning bright red lipstick and dramatic eyes with beautifully coiffed hair…

7. What your favourite make-up look?
Generally I love the natural look – but I do live in Paris and this city is all about glamour. So I find a compromise – during the day I keep my look fresh with just a bit of mascara, a swoosh of chanel eye shadow in pinkie-beige, a splash of peach coloured blush and a smack of lipgloss. I also like to keep my hair a bit messy and wear a pair of big sun glasses! During the evening the city turns sexier! I like the use of black eye-liner and the more sensuous colours on the eyes like the purples and dark blues and stronger shades of lipstick (I like Bobbi Brown’s collection). I normally like to accessories my look with a Chanel inspired hair band and a pair of sexy high heels!

8. Any advice for all our luscious Makeup Bulletiners out there?
Match your look with your mood! And whether you’re gonna doll yourself up or not at all – just make sure you always leave the house feeling great!

I always carry one of those small makeup travel kits (I use a Lancome one that I once bought at the airport) which is really compact and lives only in my handbag which I use for them ’emergency’ situations!)

9. Any secret beauty vices that you do – that you know you shouldn’t?!
I know I hardly ever do those face-masks thingys! I know I should be doing this at least once a week but my job involves so much running around to events, shoots, and interviews that by the time I get home in the evenings I can barely peel myself off the couch let alone peel any mask off my face…

10. Inspire us…

I love Coco Chanel’s quote: “The best colour in the whole wide world is the one that looks good – on you”

And I want to add to that and say that I think “the best you in the world is the one that ‘wakes up’… “
