New Releases in August

There are some FABULOUS new releases at beauty counters across the country in time for Spring 2013. We’re excited!

Elizabeth Arden’s skin care range Skin Illuminating  collection– This innovative collection targets dark spots and uneven skin tone, while enhancing your skin’s ability to reflect light. The range consists of a cleanser, toner, day serum, night capsules, emulsion and an eye serum. Ingredients such as Vitamin C, antioxidants, pore minimizers and diamond and pearl powders work in unison to make the skin appear visibly brighter and more radiant. Available in Edgars, Foschini, Truworths and Woolworths.

Island Fantasy by Britney Spears- This fragrance is inspired by Britney’s ideal paradise- a remote island where she can relax and rejuvenate with her loved ones. Island Fantasy is a potion of succulent fruits and colourful blossoms, stirring feelings of warm sunshine, ocean breezes and glittering beaches. A mix of citrus scents, watermelon and red fruits is intertwined with refreshing floral notes of jasmine, freesia and violet. This flirty and feminine scent comes packaged in a beautiful green and blue ombre bottle, embellished with gold gemstones. Available in Edgars, Red Square. Foschini. Truworths, Clicks and Dischem from 12 August.

Angel Aqua Chic and Alien Aqua Chic– Our favourite fragrances are being re-launched this summer with the addition of a “fresh accord” to the original composition of the perfumes, resulting in a lighter and fresher Eau de Toilette. The classic Angel and Alien perfume bottles have only been altered slightly, with a dazzling mirrored effect. Available 19 August.

Le Jour, La Nuit, Le Weekend de Chanel- this Chanel skincare programme is designed to resynchronise your skin and rejuvenate your pores, regardless of your age or skin type. This series of skin care products promises to reactivate, recharge and renew tired and stressed out skin. Available 19 August.

SeeBy Chloé- This new Chloé fragrance reveals an addictive floral scent, intertwined with a tangy essence. Apple blossom, jasmine, sandalwood and vanilla- this perfume smells enchanting and gorgeous! The glass pleats in the perfume bottle create mirror effects creating a “luminous game of hide and seek”. Available in Edgars and Red Square stores from 19 August.

New brands in August, exclusive to Edgars

  • Greenland– With fruit extracts, essential oils, milk extracts and natural butters, Greenland products protect and care for your skin. They’re completely natural and are extensively tested, though never on animals. The range consists of body butters, shower gels, body scrubs, massage and bath oil and more available in an array of delish-sounding scents. (Think “vanilla-lime” and “mint-lavender”)
  • Sampar- This Parisian brand comes in a dainty pink packaging for ‘smart skincare in the city’. Their Glamour Shot Eyes is a popular product, which is invisible makeup for touch-ups under or around your eyes. Their 3 Day Weekend primer is great for under foundation, and gives you a gradual tan.
  • Kings + Queens- This fabulous bath and body range has several fragrances inspired by royalty: King of Sumatra (Pepper Bergamot); Aztec King (Vanilla Pear); Sultan of Granada (Lemon Flower); Nefertiti (Honey)- Sound great?
  • Radical- This small range of beauty products focuses on results and ingredients, and their products are a unique earthy colour due to the plant extracts. Available at selected Edgars and Red Square stores.
