Mineral Body Peeling: Vanilla

YES!! LADIES, YOU HEARD RIGHT!!!

This product is sweet to the touch and also helps you get summer ready too! I’ve always loved a good body scrub and have hunted around for a decent one for ages now; my hunt is no over as I’ve found the perfect catch!

I purchased the Body Peeling 500g tub from Mineral- the Dead Sea line from Dischem at R99.99. Yes I hear some of you moaning that R100 is a bit much for a body scrub, but boy is this one worth it. Plus, I’ve used it around 6 times and the tub is still relatively full. If used once a week it lasts around 4-5 months easily. Not much of the scrub is needed to work through your whole body due to the texture of the granules.

The scrub comes in a clear plastic tub with a dark blue plastic twist lid. The front label has a woman with her back draped in material. The logo and signature style of the brands name is printed in dark blue and gold. As far as I counted I spotted 5 Variants:
Vanilla
Eucalyptus
Citronella
Jasmine and
Lavender

Don’t attempt to open the tubs in the store to try and sniff at the variant you want as there is a clear plastic on the tub that prevents this and you end up looking rather weird to passers-by (I experienced this personally). I went with what I knew and opted for vanilla, yummy yum yum!!!
Once the plastic seal is broken/cut off a waft of sweet, soft and sensual vanilla hits your nasal imagination- cue a yummy cupcake image and you’ve hit your visual calorie intake without the after- effects. The scrub is white in colour and surrounded by a pool of glistening oil. This keeps the granules at the perfect consistency and aids in their moisture so not to hurt or scrape skin. The granules are the perfect size and consistency. They’re not super fine and neither are they like rough salt scraping your skin. The scrub glides on the body with ease and the delicious smell envelopes the senses.

Once your body is all scrubbed up, wash away with warm water as not to irritate your skin. The scrub washes of with ease but the oil effect lingers on skin almost like an invisible veil of moisture and perfection. Every bump and crevice becomes coated and smooth to the touch. I’ve noticed a visible difference to the areas of my thighs that suffer from cellulite and stretch marks. My skin always looks tighter and firmer and slightly more perfect after I’ve used this scrub, so no wonder it’s become my go-to before and special occasion.

I highly highly recommend you give this delectable treat a try as it is a pick-me-up in a tub. Coming from Israel and based on genuine salts and minerals from the Dead Sea; OH! And drenched in a lick-worthy vanilla scented oil how can it ever be wrong. A definite for the summer beach season! Go on, Grab a treat for the mind, body and tummy ;)
