MAC Strobe cream

This product is any makeup lovers dream. It preps the skin so nicely for makeup. It plumps and hydrates and gives a really nice luminescence.

It is definitely geared more towards dry skin, but it can work for oily skin under a matte foundation set with a good powder. I prefer to use this during the colder months.

I just love how my products apply over this and I love how my foundation settles throughout the day. It does not go cakey and patchy - I am left with a smooth healthy glisten instead.

One of the best things about this product is how long it lasts, so the price is definitely set off by how long a tube lasts.

The effect is really subtle and I only really use this on special occasions to give me that extra glowy/dewy look and feel and it makes your skin look amazing! I sometimes also use it alone on my cheekbones to give a slight highlight.
This product's greatest strength is its versatility as you can use it in so many different ways.

This product was made for strobing and forms part of MACS permanent Collection (Thank God)
It smells very much the same as the other products in the skin care range and I would describe it as "wheaty"
Can be used as a moisturiser if you have fairly normal/combination skin. If you have dry skin I wouldn't recommend it on its own, you wont get much moisture from it.
It adds a very subtle brightening sheen to the skin — an opalescent glow, subtle, and an effective description would be "like pearls bathed in candlelight than sequins caught in the spotlight."

A MAC mua recommended this a few years ago- He described it as a "J-LO glow cream" - I have since repurchased over and OVER again! :)
I absolutely love how this product hydrates my skin (it's a moisturiser).
It literally 'glows' through my foundation and makes my skin look flawless in photos!
It acts like a primer and the tube lasts forever. :)
I only use it on special occasions because my skin is slightly problematic.
I would highly recommend this product for someone who wants a dewy/glowy look to their makeup. :) Perfect for strobing too! Cant live without this product in my makeup bag! xxx

I bought this product only because of the whole 'strobing' hype going on and I really regret it. YES, it was a great product but I have products which are a third of the price and they work just as great.

This bottle is worth the price because it lasts for such a long time. I love mixing it with my BB cream or tinted moisturiser to add a soft overall glow, or dab it on my cheekbones for the extra bit of radiance if I don't feel like wearing much makeup.
It's much better than most highlighting powders because the pigment is so much more fine, creating the illusion of glowing skin.

strobe cream is a wonderful investment and should be in every womans makeup kit! It adds a delightful, youthful glow to the skin without making the skin look oily. however, the pearlised pigment inside is of a lilac and blue nature and does not work well on very dark skins. Mix it in with your foundation to create a beautifully illuminated tinted foundation :)

1. As a light-weight moisturizer, under foundation, to create that 'glow' from the inside out. People often don't want to be 'shiny' - but that's why strobe scream is so beautiful - it creates a natural effect, mimicking a skins natural glow.

2. highlighting cream - to use minimally on the high points of your face (cheekbones/side of nose) to create an 'organized glow'

3. Mixing strobe cream with your MATT liquid foundation (i.e MAC Studio Fix Fluid) - dilutes your foundation and makes it into a more dewy effect. One can add a touch of strobe to foundation or a touch of foundation to strobe - depending on the coverage your wanting.
