MAC Mineralised Eyeshadow Trio in Togetherness

The MAC “In The Groove” Collection was released last year in 2010 and 9 different mineralised eyeshadow trios were launched. The one I purchased was Togetherness, and it contains is a cool-toned purple trio that includes a soft lilac with a satin sheen, blue-based violet purple with a frostier finish, and a mid-tone silver gray. The pigmentation here was even and rich throughout the trio.

This is my favourite night out selection. It is easy to take wherever I go even if I choose not to carry a handbag, like when going to a club. Also its easy to apply and feels great against my eyelids. The colours are perfect for nights out and for days when you want a little extra something special! packaging is solid and easy to open and close and I share it with most of my friends on our nights out so it suits both light and dark skinned people which I think is a great feature as most cosmetics look good on either light or dark skinned people.

I’m so in love with purple shadows. I just can’t seem to keep my hands off them when I buy makeup. In my opinion the formula of the mineralised eyeshadow trios have really improved because it has become smoother and less powdery when you try to pick up shadows. I found that the soft lilac shadow was a bit not as opaque as I wanted it to be, but when you apply a white base before you apply this shadow, the colour payoff is much better. The violet purple colour has a high colour payoff and looks great as the darker outer V colour. The silver gray tone I usually use to darken the outer V, or as a liner instead when I want the look to be softer. What I like about these shadows is that you can use them wet or dry.
