MAC Eyeshadow in Contrast has a velvet finish and even though on the MAC website it says that Contrast is a Purplish-blue eyeshadow with blue shimmers, on application it is more dark blue than purple. This eyeshadow is highly pigmented, applies smoothly and blends easily.

If you want a eye shadow that last all day Mac is the way to go to be i felt the shadow to be more darker on my eyelid because I am faily darker skinned i think the effect of the eyeshadow will be different on different skin tones .

This is the best eyeshadow for really smoked out eye looks.
The formula is so easy to work with, it is very blendable and the shimmers don't really show up. Just mind the little bit of fallout.
The shadow is very pigmented, so you really don't need much to achieve the drama you desire.
It is available in the loose pot size as well as the refill pan size. For the quality, I really don't think it is terribly expensive.

I bought this eyeshadow a long time ago and only recently found out that this is one of the eyeshadows that Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist, Stephen Moleski, likes to use on her. This colour is perfect for smokey eye makeup. The great part about this eyeshadow is that it can be used instead of a black eyeshadow which may sometimes be too harsh on certain skin tones. The blue hues in Contrast also enhances the colour of brown and green eyes.
Contrast is part of MAC’s normal eyeshadow range.
