L'Oreal Paris Elvive Total Repair 5 Restoring Shampoo

This is without a doubt a very good shampoo, it cleans my hair well and also adds high shine and vitality to it. It's claims of adding strength, density, vitality ,shine and silkiness to hair all prove true. It really brings dry, dull hair to life and repairs damage gradually. My hair is a natural disaster, always in need of moisture because it's frizzy and dry and this shampoo has definitely made my hair more manageable. My hair feels very healthy and the smell of this shampoo is somewhat Fruity which I love. Definitely a shampoo for keeps.

This is by far the best Shampoo I have used on my hair and my extensions. It revitalizes the hair and the extension whilst maintaining the hair color I loved it.

I have been using this range for 3 months now and love how it has transformed my hair. Not only has it visibly improved the appearance of my hair, but it has also made it feel softer and smoother. I seriously battled with fine, dull looking hair that had fly-aways and trying to tame them meant using a straightener which in turn lead to even more damage on my hair. After 2 washes I noticed that the fly-aways were a lot less and after the 6th or so wash I didn't need to use a hair straightener at all. This has transformed my hair and I owe it all to this range!

A good tip: Keep an eye open for price markdowns. Pick 'n Pay sometimes sells the little bottles for R29 (currently they retail for about R36-R39). Whenever there is a price markdown I almost empty the shelf. I think I have about 4 bottles of shampoo and 4 bottles of conditioner in my cupboard at the moment.

I've been using this shampoo for 2-3 months and its one of the better drugstore type ones. I love the creamy texture as it doesn't leave my hair feeling dry and completely parched like so many other shampoos I've tried.

My hair wasn't tangled after washing which I find happens when the shampoo is gel like and not creamy. My hair was soft after washing and I followed with a hair mask.

This also helped my dry scalp quite a bit and the fragrance is subtle and nice enough. Its so cheap at R25 at any Clicks/Dischem etc. Its great to use and doesn't break the bank.

The advertising campaign is excellent, it is what initially drew me to the product. Clever marketing. I love the bold red and white bottles, as always my favourite is the hair mask. It works wonders and is a great "quick-fix" for thirsty hair that looks a bit down. I saw a change in my hair after a few uses, it was definately stronger, but i admit i got bored and started mixing and matching all my lotions and potions. The scent of the products are quite subtle, and doesn't really stand out. I did find that i had to wash my hair more often than usual, it felt weighed down, so perhaps the conditioner/mask was a bit too much for my thin hair.

This product was sent to me from the review club. Although, when I started using it I didn't have any major problem with the health of my hair, I noticed other benefits; I had more body, and my hair stays cleaner for longer. Also there was more shine, and a delightful fruity smell.

When i bought this product, i could only find the HUGE bottle. Do they not make one in a normal size?? That aside, Total Repair 5 is a great shampoo, when used with the whole range, expect optimal results. I love the fragrance of this shampoo, i only use a blob about the size of a R5 coin and it definately goes far! The huge bottle wasn't great for me, i mix and match my hair products, and i bet you i will probably have the SAME bottle this time next year. Prolonged use of this product definately improved the appearance of my heat damaged hair - squeeky clean but smooth and silky - yes please!

I absolutely love this product. It makes my hair feel like silk and so manageable. Really makes my life easy.
It also really helps to repair damaged hair. its the first time that i ever found shampoo that actually makes your hair soft after washing. And my hair smells good for days! Absolute restoration!

My hair is really looking better these days!!!
