I was so excited when I saw these lip paints at Dischem. At first, the range was limited to pinks and nudes (which I don't think goes too well with my skin tone). They are apparently dupes for the Too Faced Melted lip paints (the packaging is almost identical). Since Too Faced is not sold in SA, I thought this would be a great buy).

After a month or two, I saw that Dischem had expanded the range of lip paints so I immediately picked up a dark purple shade called 'Tempt'. Unfortunately there were no testers on display so I did not exactly know what the colour would be.

The packaging is really great and the price is even better. I've never tried lip pigments in a tube before so it was interesting to test this product out. I'm not a fan of the tube packaging as, when applied directly to the lips, the 'paint' moves around quite a bit. I would have preferred a sponge-like applicator as seen with most lipglosses or liquid lipsticks.

The paint is smooth but the peppermint scent is very strong - so it stings quite a bit. The colour was beautiful but it was quite difficult to spread it evenly (probably because of the applicator/packaging).

I strongly suggest using a lip liner as the product is quite liquid-y. This is the type of product where a lip liner is necessary, especially for the darker colours. It stayed on quite well but reapplication is needed for it to last all day.

There are some faults but the colour is too beautiful for me not to repurchase it. It's great product if you look past the pungent scent.
