How To Colour Ethnic Hair

Most women feel that a change is good, and generally they are right. When it comes to your hair however, you need to be cautious, especially if you have dry or previously relaxed hair. Rather consult a professional and seek advice on when, how and what colour you should choose. If, like the rest of the female race, you are impatient and don’t have the time to consult a hairstylist you should read this article carefully.

If you have relaxed your hair dying it may cause it to become brittle and eventually break.

Should you be colour curious and want to change your colour temporarily, it is wisest to opt for a Temporary Colour. This will wash out and eventually after a few washes it will be completely gone. This way you will know which colour you like without the unnecessary damage. There are no chemicals in temporary dyes.

Your next option is go for a more permanent colour. A permanent dye contains ammonia and peroxide chemicals which can harm the hair, but also create a new colour. If your hair has been relaxed, it is advised to seek professional consult as the chemicals from the dye are known to dry out and break ethnic relaxed hair.

Finally, there is another option for you! If you would like to drastically lighten your hair you could try using peroxide. Many Ethnic women choose this method as it is fast, efficient and always in fashion! Peroxide is a chemical that is used on dark hair to lighten it. Even though it is quite popular, peroxide can also cause damage due to the bleach components in it. It ruins your hair by over processing it. You may not see it at first, however…over time, you will come to notice the damage and discolouration. It is recommended only on extremely short hair or on already healthy hair! Just remember, if you have long healthy hair and you decide to bleach it…you wont have healthy or long hair for long!!!

So as you can see ladies, dying your hair by yourself without professional advice is not recommended. There are ways to get around it; however you should ALWAYS seek advice! After all, you want the best ethnic hairstyle…you deserve to show off!
