How can I re-grow my over-plucked eyebrows?

Our eyebrows play a very important part in the shape and overall look of our faces. This is why people have always believed that neat eyebrows are the first step towards a beautiful and well groomed look.

One of the latest makeup trends off the fashion catwalks is thick eyebrows and thin eyebrows are coming across as harsh and so last decade.

It seems almost impossible to grow back the thick and bushy eyebrows you may once have possessed. There are many products to grow eyebrows, but one can never know, when they spend their hard earned money, if these products will work.

How to begin the processes towards thicker, fuller eyebrows

As a person who wants to re-grow their eyebrows naturally, the first step would be to STOP plucking, waxing or shaving your eyebrows. This may be difficult for those of us who are obsessed with tweezers and the ‘perfect’ eyebrows they could give you. But this may be the reason for your problem in the first place.

Say NO to waxing. This is a very unpredictable way of grooming your eyebrows…as one never really knows which hairs will be removed during the process. Tweezers are a much better option for grooming your eyebrows. You will be able to individually select which hairs to remove….and make sure these are very very stray hairs you want to remove.

Be DISCIPLINED during your rest from plucking your eyebrow hairs. It may be tempting to pluck what you may consider to be a stray hair or two…but this may work against you in your journey towards thicker brows.  Getting carried away can easily happen and so, you may find yourself with over-plucked hairs again.

PATIENCE should be your best friend during this process. Re-growing your eyebrows is not going to happen in a week or two. It is going to take months. 4 to 6 months. You will then notice the difference.

HOWEVER….
Years and years and years of tweezing and waxing may have finally taken their toll and your eyebrows will not grow back anymore. If after many months of trying to re-grow your eyebrows have yielded no results whatsoever, you may be doomed to a life of eyebrow pencils to create the perfect thick eyebrow look.

We are fortunate to like in a time in which high quality eyebrow pencils come in various colour shades. Depending on your skin colour, eyebrow pencils in the brown colour spectrum would be perfect. Avoid very black eyebrow pencil if you want a natural looking eyebrow look.

Also of great importance…DO NOT DRAW your eyebrows in one line. Instead, make sure your eyebrow pencil is super sharp and draw little strokes to imitate the hairs that would have been there, but aren’t anymore.

In conclusion, re-growing your eyebrows is possible if you are lucky enough to realise you prefer thicker and fuller eyebrows before it’s too late. You will know if it is possible to re-grow your eyebrows after years of plucking if you simply leave them to grow back. After a few months, you should be able to see a difference.

However, if 6 months of discipline and no plucking there are still no new hairs sprouting from your brows, then you will need to invest in a good eyebrow pencil and learn the art of drawing beautiful and natural looking full eyebrows.
