Freeman Pomegranate Sugar Body Scrub

It's no secret that I love Freeman products. They are bright, fun, yummy and very effective! A few years back when they were first stocked at dis-chem I used to use the grapefruit and apple sugar scrubs. They were the only thing that worked on winter skin and those tiny little bumps you sometimes get.

Their new sugar scrub has different packaging and a new flavour, pomegranate, but the consistency and effectiveness of this scrub is still exactly the same. And this scrub isn't just sugar with some perfume in it. It has some great ingredients as well, like safflower seed oil, apricot kernel oil, sweet almond oil, sesame seed oil and pomegranate extract.

This scrub does a thorough job of removing dead skin. It's effective without being harsh. It has a wonderful warm sensation on the skin and the sugar melts into your skin, so you need to rub it quickly. It leaves the bathroom and your skin smelling absolutely delicious and fresh.

I personally feel this scrub is better than any body shop scrub I've tried. My skin is like silk after using this. It's the perfect prep for self tan and keeps elbows and knees smooth and soft. The only problem I have with this scrub is that I might need a new tube soon ;) And I also wish it came in a few different 'flavours'.

I love this scrub. It contains pomegranate as one of the ingredients which is good to maintain youthfullness of skin. It is also loaded with sugar (as the name suggests). I like my scrubs to scrub really well and it does. The only thing to keep in mind is that you need to rub fast straight after applying because the sugar starts melting on warm wet skin (just like sugar does in your hot tea). I only squeezed the amount needed for a certain area and scrubbed immediately. it really did feel like it took my dead skin off and my skin felt very smooth afterwards. I used it once a week. Unfortunately, since the products is so dense with sugar, you need quite a bit every time to scrub your whole body. I ran out of it pretty fast! That's the only downside but it was a fab product to use!
