I bought this mask because it contains AHA, which is a chemical exfoliate (chemical exfoliation is much better for your skin than a scrub, btw). It smells quite nice and is easy to put on. I tried using it as a mask but didn't find it to be very effective so now I use weekly by massaging it into my face and then rinsing, instead of applying and waiting for it to dry. I haven't noticed *much* difference to my skin. I was under the impression AHAs promotes even skin tones, smooth complexions and skin renewal but my blackheads/comedones haven't budged and I still have some dark spots on my face. This is nice for a mild skin exfoliation.
