Hot Flush

Have you often wondered how celebs and models get perfectly flushed cheeks? Read on for our tips on how to get the look.

Lip and cheek stains are all over the beauty market, yet many of us don’t know what they’re for or how to use them! The truth is that stains can either make or break your look. and the trick is to getting your technique right.

1. Pick the Right Stain for your Skin.
When choosing your lip and cheek stain opt for one that complements your skin tone, bearing in mind that many stains look darker in the bottle than they do on your skin. Always test it on your skin before buying!

2. Prep Your Skin.
Stains highlight dry, flaky skin so always exfoliate your face and lips before applying one. After exfoliating apply a deeply nourishing face moisturiser and lip balm. Next up apply your liquid foundation, but if you’re using powder, use it after applying your stain.

3. Stain Your Skin.
Using a liquid stain lightly blend the formula into the apples of your cheeks using either your fingertips or a sponge. Start by lightly layering the stain onto the apples of your cheeks. Build the colour so that you can gauge how much you’re applying. Work towards the cheekbone and temple using light, feathery strokes. If your stain comes with a brush then lightly brush it onto your lips and let it sink in, if it doesn’t have a brush then use a lip brush or your fingers.

Top Tip: Remember to wash your hands after using a tint as these can stain your fingers.
