Eucerin Sun Fluid Mattifying SPF 50

People always tell me I'm glowing (in a good way) and its usually only on the days when I use this sunscreen!
- Mattifying
- Does not look purple/bluish like a usual sunscreen
- Once it absorbs the scent is almost unnoticeable
- I use it under my foundation and I haven't had any issues

I actually bought this product because I needed a product with a high SPF, that would also leave my skin feeling moisturized.
I decided to try Eucerin's Sun Fluid and boy did my skin break out... Moreover, upon application, the fluid felt heavy on my skin and would leave the "I have just applied sunscreen on my face white residue".
Overall, the product was not suitable for my skin type, but I would recommend it to anyone who wants a matte look and added sun protection.

I love a moisturiser that can double as an SPF because the harsh UV rays can cause some damage to one's skin so I thought, let me try this.

The cream is light weight but quite runny and has a light orange colour.

Applying it, I ended up looking purple and blue. You know that effect that sunscreen has on dark skinned black people? Yes that one! The grey undertone. Yeah, I don't like that. It's okay for when I'm running out in the sun, but not for everyday wear. I found myself having to mix it with a vanishing cream to get a proper matte effect.

Other than the SPF50, I don't see anything special about this.

I snagged this baby when Clicks had their 3 for 2 special on Eucerin products about three months ago!

My first thoughts:

I loved the size (its a 50 ml bottle) : totally convenient to keep in your handbag or knapsack if you need to reapply! Its SPF 50 PLUS! I'm a varsity student so I'm constantly walking on roads to get to campus and on campus. Sun damage is a real thing ladies :( We can prevent sun damage and slow down the aging process just by using sun screen. Not to mention, we live in a very hot country! The biggest misconception is when it's cloudy, we do not need to apply sunblock. YOU DO!

First use:

I have acne-prone skin and its super sensitive. When I first used this product, I fell in love with the mattifyng effect. I get very oily on my T-zone during the day and this just seemed to solve the problem. I use this on top of my daily moisturizer. This product also makes a great base for makeup because it is so mattifying. Even though it is mattifying, it is not drying. The instructions recommend that you reapply a layer after exercising because sweat obviously takes the product off. I just had to rub the product in quite well to make sure it was applied properly and it had settled into my skin. An important thing to remember is to shake the product well before usage.

I've been using this product for about three months now, and I have not found a better sun screen! My mum told me my complexion is looking great, so thats a definite plus! As for protecting my skin from the sun, I have no gone a shade darker even though I walk in the hot sun almost everyday thanks to this bad boy! It has not caused that "oily" effect like most sunscreens do and it hasn't clogged and of my pores and my skin just looks visibly brighter and clearer!

I will definitely repurchase this when my current bottle finishes.
