I live in Cape Town, South Africa, the city of beaches and beautiful summers. Everyone here looks sun kissed and glowing all year round except for a select few who don’t have time to lay in a sun bed once a week over the winter months. Alas, I am one of those few and have been desperately looking for the right bronzer to give me that gorgeous glow and sun kissed appeal. I have tried many of these products, even had my sister who lives in Geneva ship some products over I couldn’t get locally, and even though I had some that worked well enough they tended to be over sparkly, oily or too pink leaving me looking flushed rather than glowing. My solution was then to use three different products to achieve the look I wanted.
Then while rushing to get cover-up (to hide a beacon that appeared during the night before whilst I slept) for a event I was attending that evening, stumbled across Estee lauder’s new Bronze Goddess Range. I grabbed their Soft Matte Bronzer and rushed towards the till. It was not until I reached my bathroom mirror for my make-up application that I remembered my latest purchase and decided to try it. And wow was I impressed!
I didn’t use my usual three products and found it easy, soft and best of all it came in a great sized compact that I threw in my bag for the evening.
The product is non greasy and nice to build layering with my other make-up. I used it lightly on my cheeks, bridge of nose, forehead, lightly on my shoulders and collar bone and then on my cleavage to make it look a little deeper – us smaller chested girls need all the help we can get!
When I arrived at the event all my friends wanted to know if I went away somewhere sunny for the weekend! The few friends I told my new little secret to have since bought the product themselves and even though we all have very different skin tones it works just as well on them.
