Great for pigments, but not as eye primer

The Essence Colour Arts Eye base works fairly well as a base for applying pigments (such as the Essence pigment pots). However, applied as an eye primer it does not do much with regards to keeping my eye shadow in place or anything of that nature. I'll be sticking to my more expensive eye primer and use this for pigment and body glitter.
