essence all about matte oil control make-up base

I came across this little on sale at Dischem for R20 and got 2 tubes on a whim. I have to admit even if it was R60 I'd still buy it. It managed to keep my oily T-Zone under control and felt light on my skin. It also reduces the appearance of pores quite well but perhaps not on the level something of like L'Oreal Mattifying primer would. It's very good value for money. The formula is more liquid than I would expect. Primers are more often gel like. Overall this is a star buy and a real beauty bargain! Stock up ladies :)

This applies great and feels nice. It's got good cover but after a while it wasn't too matt anymore. But great as a normal base.

This make-up base is amazing! I used it under my foundation and I experienced no signs of diamond face! It also seems to help make the make-up stay put. Awesome thing is how it doesn't feel like you've applied anything at all to your face. Super light on the face and makes it feel all nice and soft. :3
Other make-up bases tend to be too oily for my skin, and cause it to breakout. No such thing this make-up base. I really hope they don't discontinue it!!!

After reading about it I decided to try it out. Unfortunately it does nothing to control my shine...

Specially formulated with evermat complex which helps balance out oily skin and to minimize the appearance of pores. My make -up lasts much much longer when I use this and I so love the mattified look it brings to my face. Apply thinly on whole face or oily areas. It absorbs very quickly into skin and is dermatologically tested. As for the price well we all know by now that essence is renowned for putting out Quality products at very affordable prices.
