Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lash Extending Mascara

I received a sample size and a full size of the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment Mascara in a gift set. This mascara comes in a luxurious gold packaging. It has a slightly wet formula but it did a great job of extending my lashing my lashes on application. However, it does smudge, so you need to be extra careful. It is a bit pricey.

I love the packaging - there is nothing like opening a mascara in a box and sliding out a metal tube. It feels luxurious and becomes a treat to use. When I use my usual mascaras in their plastic tubes and then come back to this one I always feel glamorous.

The brush - there is nothing fancy or over the top about this brush. In many ways it's just a normal bristle brush but it works like a charm because the formulation of the mascara is so amazing.

The formula - the mascara is a very smooth liquid that applies easily to the lashes and I've never experienced any serious lumping at all, even when the mascara starts to dry out a bit at the end of its life.
It works - My lashes always look incredibly long when using this mascara and the results are the same each and every time I use it.

It's a treatment - the mascara contains Ceramide triple complex, vitamins A, C and E and Keravis. All these ingredients help to condition, strengthen, protect and restore lashes. Over time I did notice a huge improvement in the condition of my lashes.

It's light wearing - the formulation of the mascara is incredibly light wearing, to the point that when you touch your lashes you'd swear you don't have anything on them.
Easily built up - This mascara is great for day time or night time because it can be built up easily with no smudging or clumping with each layer.

It's not terribly expensive - At around R180 it's only a little more than other mascaras. To many people this might seem steep for a mascara but considering that this is only about R50 more than many top end supermarket mascaras, this is not bad at all - especially because it's a treatment mascara. I am a pretty strong believer that high-end mascara is junk. I find that most drugstore brands of mascara are better than high-end, and I would rather save the R40 something for a high-end eye shadow or foundation, however this is an exception. This is amazing! It gives perfect definition to lashes, I have found it virtually impossible to clump and its lengthens like a dream. I have pretty nice lashes, long and always curled, and with this mascara on my eyes, my face just brightens. I love this mascara, the only downside is that it's not very good a volumising, so perfect for day use. I think if your looking for a mascara thats not boringly natural but not too dramatic then you should definitely pick this up. I did. I love my magic wand.
