I received the Dark and Lovely Fat Protein Bodifying Relaxer from BB a week ago to review.
A day back I decided to put it to good use and relax my hair since had given it time to breathe after had taken off my weave.
The packaging is so attracting, lilac tub in color with a yellow sticker which has wording on it of the product. The relaxer itself is white in color, creamy texture and a smell that is not strong to the nose.
I had growth hence had a weave previously, with my gloves on I started by sectioning my hair into 4 parts so I can apply the relaxer easily all over my hair. I normally do not use a comb when home relaxing to avoid scalp being scratched nor harm. I started messaging my hair from the roots up to the middle of my hair strand since I was re-touching the growth and left it for about 8-10 min then massaged it again I could feel that the hair has been processed then went to rinse. I did not get an itch from the relaxer it was gentle to the scalp.
Using warm water I rinsed off the relaxer then ran clean water again and applied Dark & Lovely fat protein food shampoo to wash the excess off then rinsed once again till I had clean hair.
Applied a hair balm, dried and was so impressed with the out come. It gave my hair volume, silky shine and straighten my hair as expected.
I love how my hair feel it's full of healthiness and volume.
It's affordable and reliable at a very low cost of R27.95.
