I could not agree more with Sasha, I purchased this for R19.95 - I use their spritzers for Linen and room freshener - This specific variant smelt sickly sweet and made me a bit nauseas. I was expecting a like soft fresh scent of Apricot, and yet this was the complete opposite. I am using the Lily and Gardenia variant now, its a but over powering at first, but once it mellows down, the scent is gorgeous and fresh, and you definitely get the aroma of lily's coming through. I guess with this line, it's either hit or miss.

Mmmmm…yummy delicious apricots and the moisture from Shea, what a unique combination from Avon. I was so hypnotized by the Ad I saw in the Avon Brochure (4) that I just had to have this spritzer.

The use of their eye-catching colours and exceptional wording lured me in. The Ad claimed that the spritz refreshes, deodorises and leaves skin softly scented. Well as soon as I received my order I eagerly opened off the lid and started spritzing myself as well as my room. I could immediately got an un-bearably sweet scent.

It was a sensory overdose. I personally find the smell to be sickly and immensely sweet. You do get a slight tinge of an apricot scent but for the most part it smelt like melting candy. It left a rather un-pleasant aroma on my body, not like the soft scent it claims too and this smell can be over-powering. It reminded me of a cheap perfume or even an air freshener. My younger sister loves anything sweet and refers to it as “yummy” but she too wasn’t very impressed with the “cheapness” of the scent. At R19.95 for a 100ml, I would say it offered exactly what little I paid for it.

The bottle is also a bit on the cheap side but is attractive. It is a clear 100ml spray bottle with a little clear cap. There is an orange label with apricots and a shard of Shea on the front. The spritz itself is also clear; this has an advantage of not staining clothes. I feel the bottle would’ve worked better if it was full orange in colour with a green lid and writing.

I am normally the type of person that only swears by using a perfume, indulging in EDT’s and EDP’s only. This purchase was for the mere fun and convenience that comes with ordering any Avon product. I have wanted to purchase the Outspoken by Fergie perfume that Avon sells but am now very wary of any fragrant purchase made from Avon.

As during the day my car is parked off at the campus student parking lot, I’ve decided to spray two spritz into my car when I leave in the mornings and upon returning, the inside of my car doesn’t smell stuffy and closed up with heat. Once my windows are open and I’m in motion, the sweetness dissipates and a fresh clean smell is left roaming through my senses.
I will not be purchasing this spritzer again and neither will I be drawn in by the new Ad for the Avon Rasberry and Hibiscus Body Spray.

Lesson learnt, besides, having my car smell like almost one fruit is more than enough for now :D
