An eyeshadow primer is to eyes what a facial primer and foundation is to your face.It helps eyeshadow pigments to adhere to the eye-lid, leaving you with a longer lasting, vibrant eye colour that doesn't crease.
Eyeshadow primers are used to provide a smooth canvas that prevents eyeshadow from fading or creasing.It absorbs excess oil and remains weightless the entire time.
It was so refreshing to find Avon come out with their primer and at such a low introductory price of R39.95.It comes in one shade/ colour, Light Beige.This actually doesn't make a difference whehn used as it is suitable for various skin tones. As it goes under your eyeshadow, it would'nt be seen, but offers support and coverage for the eye-shadow to do its best work.
The packaging was the typical black Avon box with white writing. Once opened though the little glass tub took me by surprise. The product looked GORGEOUS! The little 3g primer was housed in a very modern looking glass tub with a black screw-top lid. The primer can be seen through the little tub.It's a very elegant bottle that will definitely be used to hold something once the primer is finished.
The primer itself is a liquid in a mousse consistency.This makes it easy and fun to apply.The formula is light and airy. Because of the consistency, the mere 3g will definitely be lasting you a while as only a thin layer is needed for maximum coverage.
Once applied, it dries to produce a powder finish with long lasting power. My sister used it for her Matric Dance two weeks ago and even at 2am the next morning her eyes looked amazing and full of colour.
This is a definite lust worthy product for all you smokey-eyed, glitter lined, bold peacock eyed make-up followers. It delivers on all aspects and ticks all the boxes of what a primer should offer.
