I have been on the look out for the perfect highlighter for ages and I have finally found it. I had been eyeing this product on beauty blogs for ages (it released earlier in the USA) and made a trip to Canal Walk in the week and saw it in Foschini! This face powder was the first thing that caught my eye out of the archie collection.
Firstly, the packing is beautiful. Although it is white and I am worried about it getting dirty, I am happy that it stands out among my other products. I read archie comics from a young ages and enjoyed them. Veronica was always my favorite :)
Secondly, the actual product looks adorable. the base is a shiny light pink while the tiny raid hearts are a really deep pink.
Thirdly, the product itself is of very high quality. I would expect nothing less from Mac. It feels velvety when you touch it.
I used my mac blush brush to apply this and it works wonders. I swirl my brush around the whole entire compact and the color on the brush looks like a shimmery pink but its so light that it looks silver. I apply this on the area of my cheek just above where I would apply my blush. It helps with that beautiful glow we look for when contouring our face.
On a few blogs, I have read that the tiny pink hearts can be used on its own. I would not recommend this. the color pay off is terrible. You can barely see it when you rub your finger n the heart. you really have to scrape off a piece to see the color. It works better mixed with the light pink base.
The compact also comes with a mirror which is always convenient.
Even though the hearts do not have a function on its own, I would still recommend this product to anyone looking for a beautiful highlighter. Personally I wouldn't use this as a face powder because I do not like that much shimmer all over my face but I can see how it can give anyone a very healthy glow.
This is a limited edition product so if you really want it, you should get to your nearest mac asap. It set me back R300 but its definitely worth it. The mirror, cute packaging and amazing product works well for me.

It does hey :) The difference though is that the Physicians Formula Happy Booster is various shades of pink whereas the mac pearl matte is more of a silver shimmering color with hints of pink :)
