The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion

As promised, this is my review of the 2nd prouct in the Body Shop Tea Tree Collection. This is the Skin Clearing Lotion: when used in conjunction with the Facial Wash,helps prevent blemishes and reduces redness. It has a great shine-control factor that keeps you looking shine-free all day. The lotion infuses deeply into the pores to help purify and prevent future breakouts. Tea-tree oil soothes, calms and aids in the healing of acne scars and promotes healing. The lotion has no sticky-feel and smells very pleasant. It should be gently rubbed in, after washing. The lotion can be purchased seperately, however it is always better to use it together with the face-wash and pure tea-tree oil,that forms part of a acne-clearing 3part system (review to follow)

I have been using The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion for 4 years now and absolutely love this face lotion. It comes in 50ml tube which sells for R99 and The Body Shop have recently launched a travel size which is a 15ml for R35 which is great to pop in your makeup bag. I have an oily to combination skin type with my skin concerns being oiliness and acne prone skin. I have tried many day creams for my oily skin type and none have been as beneficial as this lotion. I like that this lotion is more of a gel than a actual cream and therefore its much more lightweight for my skin type but still hydrates the skin. It helps my skin stay matte without over drying, keeps my acne prone skin at bay and is a perfect non-greasy primer before applying foundation. I use the Skin Clearing Lotion every morning and the Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion at night.

As with all products from the Body Shop, only the best goes in. This product is no exception and should form the basis of a good skin-care routine for blemish-prone skin. Prevention is always the 1st step
