This works amazingly well for pigments! It makes the colours pop and stay all day without getting stuck in the crease.
I have used it with regular eyeshadow and it does work ok, but not as well as with the pigment powders.

The Essence Colour Arts Eye base works fairly well as a base for applying pigments (such as the Essence pigment pots). However, applied as an eye primer it does not do much with regards to keeping my eye shadow in place or anything of that nature. I'll be sticking to my more expensive eye primer and use this for pigment and body glitter.

Here I am again with another Essence winner for you girls!
Reasons you just have to get this product:
1) The price is as usual really great.
2) One only have to use a tiny amount at a time, so tube will last for ages = cost-effective!
3) The base disappears on the eye lids and glides on smoothly without any sticky residue.
4) It makes the colour pigments in any eye shadow pop.
5) It really does make your eye shadow last and last!
6) Yes you may be sick of hearing this, but it is important in my world. Essence products are not tested on animals.
