It's a high coverage red lip colour that is absolutely perfect to recreate that classic red lip. Upon opening it, the first thing that caught my attention was the lovely scent it has - so fruity and so edible! It's a high coverage lip colour - which is perfect for that bright pop of colour. It's got a gorgeous diamond applicator that you can use to apply the lip stain with. This helps the colour glide on evenly, so you don't need to rub your lips together to distribute it. It is quite glossy though, but once it settles, its got a perfect shine and gloss to it. When they say 'lip stain', they mean it... The colour is long lasting and stays put throughout the day. I really appreciate it. I will upload a video tomorrow on my experience but I will type out a written review as well. This gloss stain is something I have never experience before. Its not a lipgloss or a lipstain. Its absolutely nothing like the Just Bitten range or the Lip butters we all use. The texture is sticky like a lipgloss but once applied lightly, it becomes a stain with no shine. You can apply another coat for a beautiful glossy stain. I was sent the shade "16". It is bright pink shade which I thought would not suit me at all when I looked at it but once applied, it blended nicely with my skin tone. The packaging is really beautiful. It is black and gold with the signature YSL logo. The bottom of the stain has a window so that you can see which colour is inside. I checked the Neiman Marcus website and this product retails for R325, which is really pricey for a lip product but it is definitely worth it. The product stays on your lips for ages.
