It is super black and makes your lashes look totally lush. It adds great volume and length. I use it on both top and bottom lashes and it doesn't give you that clumpy look. It also doesn't separate your lashes into that single lash fanned look. So if that's the look you're going for, rather try a mascara with the plastic comb like brush. The YSL brush has bristles that coat and go in between your lashes to give you a bold voluminous look. I have been using it for a few years now and have never looked back. Quick Tip: Don't pump your mascara brush into the tube. Us girls have a tendency of plunging the brush in and out of the tube, especially if you're in a hurry! This dries out the mascara quicker.
