I have tried so many various ranges and different formulas that I was relieved to find it wasn't necessary to combine 2 different shades to match my skin tone. Although I had to apply an extra layer to achieve full coverage I like that it doesn't leave me sweaty. I have a friend who sings its praises, but I just didn't like it. I bought it because it is affordable and my usual MaxFactor foundation was out of stock. Although the colour initially matched my skin tone well, the formula was way too thick for my liking, it was difficult to blend, and just felt tacky and heavy on my skin. Within the next two hours of wear, my face was an oily mess and the foundation had oxidized so much that it was about two shades darker than when I first applied it, and it had turned slightly orange. My first issue was that I couldn't find a shade that matched my skin colour and the end result always looked to weird for me. My second issue was the feel, I didn't like the way it felt when applying and how the end result looked. My skin felt dry, and eventually it felt and looked "cakey". The foundation's coverage for me is a bit medium ,i had to apply more foundation to get a full coverage. The application is smooth and long wearing. The fact that it's SPF 20 is a plus. If you want medium coverage that leaves a natural look with SPF 20 then this foundation is perfect for you. The liquid is thicker than other foundations I have used so I was somewhat apprehensive that the natural coverage I was hoping for would look rather unnatural. Luckily this was not the case and I was able to wear the foundation for a couple of hours before my skin began to look a bit cakey. It seemed that during the late afternoon it was not "there" anymore, you couldn't notice anything like it look in the morning. Its got quite a thick substance to it, and its not easy to blend, i had a lot of problems trying to blend this product onto my skin, i added some cream, but it didn't go so well! I have used Yardley foundations for about 2 years now and since they updated this product and packaging, I decided to give it a go, since their products are really good in my opinion. This is a medium to full coverage foundation, but i have noticed sometimes it doesn't blend very well on my skin, so I think people with relatively dry skin would have a problem with this.
