I am naturally fair and pale, so lying baking in the sun is never an option for me. I was really excited to receive a bottle of Tropitone's Medium Self-Tan in last months' parcel from BB. I found the packaging very practical and the product quite easy to use. The lotion is easily absorbed and I made sure I had exfoliated prior to use to ensure proper application. I always apply self-tan after I have showered and just before I go to bed to avoid that self-tan scent lingering around me during the day. The scent of this lotion was typical of most self-tans, but I showered again next morning and although there was still a very slight scent it wasn't too bad and it faded during the course of the first day anyway.
Coverage was excellent and the tan was very natural looking, which was brilliant as I normally turn orange with most self-tans.
This self-tan fades away very naturally too, leaving no unsightly tell-tale streaks.
Pros:-Excellent value for money at R79,00- two full body applications and the bottle isn't empty yet.
-Good coverage and natural looking tan, no orange!!
-Natural fade away, with no streaking
Cons:-Self-tan scent, which you can minimise by applying at night and showering again the next morning

On the whole and excellent buy and a wise choice to avoid looking like an aging prune one day, as well as skin cancer.

Great review, Maryanne. Being quite fair-skinned myself, I also have to go the self tanning route. I am going to try Caribbean Tan in a can ;-).

Cool review. Very helpful. I am also naturally fair. I mostly embrace and love my light skin, but I would love to try a bit of tan skin every now and again. Please can you tell me how long does the tan last??

Hi there I find it lasts a couple of days and then starts to fade. I would advise exfoliating well before reapplying or it will look patchy. Also I tend to shave before applying because shaving also makes it fade faster.
