I recently moved from Durban to Johannesburg and my skin did not cope well with the drier air at all. I tried everything; more moisturiser, a more hydrating moisturiser and my skin just wasn't having it. My Skin was dry and flaky - it was a nightmare until this Gem came along. At R150 a bottle its fantastic value for money. My skin is on its way back to normal after double cleansing with this and The Body Shop's Vitamin E Creamy Cleanser. Apply directly to dry oil! Massage in and feel how gently dirt, pollutants, makeup emulsify and lift off!rinse and you are good to go! My skins really dry right now so i haven't really felt the need to use a cleanser after! This is different from Dermalogicas and environ as those are marked as a precleanser prior to cleansing with either a gel or milky cleanser after! This is a stand alone product! Not a precleanser! It's a complete product on its own and therefore will not break the bank! After reading a few bloggers' reviews of the Body Shop Chamomile Silky cleansing oil, which is supposedly a dupe for the Dermologica PreCleanse, I thought I'd give it a try as the price tag was a lot kinder on my purse. It is AMAZING! My skin has been super sensitive and has dry patches from the cold and dry weather that winter brings with it. This product is so soothing to my skin and I use it in place of makeup remover at night - one pump into the palm of my hand and then I massage it into my face and neck, even using it to remove my eye makeup - the make up just melts right off! You then rinse it off with warm water, and it doesn't leave a greasy residue on your skin at all! I then continue with my normal cleanser and I have to say that my skin is looking fantastic!
