It is neither matte nor dewy, but rather a hybrid of both. It does have a sunscreen scent and a rather thick consistency, but you can blend this for days. It does not leave any streaks and you do not need to blend it down the neck as it really just takes on the tone of your skin and is very forgiving. I use it in conjunction with the Photo Filter Powder Foundation and Photo Finish Primer. The combination of these 3 products is fantastic! My skin is very sensitive and I have had very bad reactions to all sorts of foundations, with BB being the best thing since sliced bread. But I took the plunge and let the shop assistant convince me to try the CC cream. It works more on dark spots and pigmentation which I am cursed with. I love it! It applies evenly and easily with a very velvety consistency. Haven't seen a huge difference in the pigmentation yet but has only been 1 month. It definitely hides it without looking too heavy.
