At any given time I have at least 5 different variants. I was shopping around for something to use on a photo shoot so thought I would give this one a go. The colour matched my complexion beautifully but I found the dropper applicator slightly cumbersome to use. It has a smooth and silky consistency, however, it is a little bit too watery for my liking. My personal preference is a foundation that is thick and firm. I have very pale, uneven, blotchy red, freckly skin and need a high coverage without looking like a caramel cupcake. Its highly blendable but not too keen on having to apply subsequent layers for better coverage. Not a bad product but more for somebody who has a great skin already and requires sheer cover. ]]> Mon, 09 May 2016 13:10:06 +0000 <![CDATA[Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water SPF 30: HOLY GRAIL!]]> https://www.beautybulletin.com/smashbox-camera-ready-bb-water-spf-30/discussions/27175/ https://www.beautybulletin.com/smashbox-camera-ready-bb-water-spf-30/discussions/27175/ I cannot get enought of this product! This has literally been my saviour! I have extremely dry skin, doesn't matter how much I moisturise, exfoliate or how good my skin looks and feels because foundation will always look dry, flat and flaky on me. I've tried various primers, bb creams and foundations developed for dry skin. Some of them will go on nice but at the end of the day it would look all dry again. This is the first product I've used continously for weeks! It glides on, covers all my perfections, moisturise my skin, keeps my skin hydrated, doesn't irritate or aggravate my sensitive skin. This product is so good that nights when I don't remove it before bed, I wake up in the morning and my skin is still hydrated! This bb water just doesn't go flaky! Ever! It also has great staying power. It withstands high temperatures and even water (I spray my face with Thermal Water to keep cool). This product means so much to me that the price is not even a factor. I'll pay for this beauty!! ]]> Mon, 21 Dec 2015 20:03:55 +0000 <![CDATA[Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water SPF 30: Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water SPF 30]]> https://www.beautybulletin.com/smashbox-camera-ready-bb-water-spf-30/discussions/26451/ https://www.beautybulletin.com/smashbox-camera-ready-bb-water-spf-30/discussions/26451/ Great little product, love the fact that its oil free, gluides on so well ]]> Fri, 30 Oct 2015 09:16:49 +0000 <![CDATA[Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water SPF 30: Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water SPF 30 Review]]> https://www.beautybulletin.com/smashbox-camera-ready-bb-water-spf-30/discussions/26447/ https://www.beautybulletin.com/smashbox-camera-ready-bb-water-spf-30/discussions/26447/ So many beauty boffs have sung the praises of the Smashbox BB Water hence I was eager to give it a try. In fact all the ladies in the office were (and they will be submitting their reviews too). However being a girl that craves the ultimate flawless finish, I had to come back down to earth and expect that this BB Water wouldn't cover up every "teenie weenie" blemish. I was proved wrong. In layman's terms it is a tinted water-based blemish balm but in reality, I would dub this a light-medium coverage foundation. Think MAC Face and Body but better. Speaking of which, you may have heard of MACs new Waterweight Foundation SPF 30. It's the SAME thing and I mean EXACTLY the same. Being that Smashbox and MAC are in the same cosmetic family (Estee Lauder Companies), it isn't surprising that marketers wanted to see which one would sell better: a blemish balm or a foundation (P.S. Opting for MAC will save you about R50). Foundations these days are coming out with fancy dropper applicators and being a product junkie, this got my attention. I figure droppers are the next best thing to pumps and just as you would your favourite serum, you can control the amount of product you wish to use. Serum-based foundations and water-based foundations are coming out at the perfect time. This spring/summer season it's all about skin skin skin, and the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Water SPF 30 along with a great skincare routine will provide that flawless finish you crave. TIP: Apply with hands as if moisturizing your face with lotion. Your fingers are the best tool for evenly spreading out products like BB's and lightweight foundations. ]]> Thu, 29 Oct 2015 14:23:03 +0000
