I make sure that I keep my lips smooth and scrubbed as it makes my lips look better when applying a matte lipstick. It stays on a very long time and even though it is matte, does not dry out my lips at all. It is comfortable to wear and looks great. I also make sure to apply lipliner before I apply this lipstick as it just makes my lips look more rounded off. It's a nude pink shade and definitely requires a lip liner before wearing. However, with the doom and gloom that the rainy weather this winter brings, I'm in need of a pretty summer colour - Paris in Pink is perfect. I'm also a fan of its creamy texture and matte finish. It went travelling to work with me today and my friend at work even tried it out lol. It's such a bright color and has a stunning matte finish that just sticks to lips and stays there forever haha it made it through a few cups of coffee and a sticky cinnamon! I'm loving it! It feels amazing on lips and applies easy for a nice finish! Now I'm still not convinced about the bright colours look great on me but the more I wear it the more I want to wear it! Almost like iv been converted from nude to bright! This is the first Smashbox lipstick that I have tried and I'm not disappointed. Magenta Matte is silky in texture and highly pigmented, a cool-toned yet vibrant pink that stays put forever-ever (as I can testify after scoffing down a donut for lunch). I'm impressed with the formula - not nearly as drying as many matte lippies. I'm prone to chapped lips in all seasons, so this is a major plus for me.
