The packaging itself is a thick, hard and sturdy cardboard casing with a nice sized mirror thrown in for added convenience. I prefer hard plastic as opposed to a cardboard casing, but none the less I ventured on. On the back of the palette there is a QR code that you can scan with your Smart Phone that will take you to a tutorial video - I think this is really smart, especially for ladies who are fairly new to trying eyeshadow. I haven't personally seen the video, so I can't comment on whether its any good or not, I just really like the idea of it. There are no names provided for each individual color on the palette itself, but names are given on the outer box (which I think is useless as the box often gets thrown away), but I guess that is unimportant as its the gorgeous colors I was after :) Moving on to the eyeshadow, i found the consistency to be very powdery, It picked up well on my eye shadow brush, but it left a bit of mess after as it was kind of 'loose' (sorry hope I am describing this properly). It applies fairly well over my primer (Avon of course :), the colors are quite sheer though, and not as highly pigmented as I originally thought. This isn't a bad thing for me though as the colors give off a nice soft, natural and feminine effect which I like and can associate with Spring and Pastel colors. There was quite a bit of fallout/spillage, so I found myself doing some damage control once done. It gave me an average wear of about 3 hours until touch ups were needed, it just sort of fades. Overall I think it's nice. Not horrible and definitely not WOW, Just fairly average. It gets the job done and that was all I was concerned about. I would not recommend this for those looking for a strong bold color due to the weak pigmentation qualities of this palette.
