Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

This is a lovely, subtle and hydrating lip color. I like using it for everyday use as the color is subtle, but still there without being too bold. You do have to reapply it throughout the day as it doesn't last that long, but otherwise it's a great product to keep in your handbag.

I bought the shade 'brown sugar'. I love the subtely of the color and the sheerness of it. There is just the right amount of shimmer in it. It glides on perfectly and makes my lips feel great.
It doesn't last that long though, I have to reapply throughout the day but I still love it.
With this shade being brown and shimmery I decided to experiment and used it as a bronzer on my cheeks and it looked amazing.

I've also got it in a few other shades as it was on sale.

I got this one as a present from a good friend of mine (the red suited me better than it did her, so lucky me :))

The texture is AMAZING!!!!! it glides on guys, simply glides.
Your lips feel moisturized for the entire day.
I do like to re-apply as the red colour needs a lift every now and then, but other than that I have only good things to say about this product.

The colour is bright and pigmented and you will never look back.

I picked up Sugar Plum on sale the other day, and I have been curious about trying these lip butters for a really long time. I was very pleased with it - the lip butter feels amazing when on, so creamy, and it looks lovely - it is not a solid, dark colour, but more of a sheer shade that you can build on, which is perfect for me for days where I do not want something too obvious. More of a tinted lip balm than a lipstick, but I have no complaints. It is exceptionally moisturising and is so easy to put on.

I bought the brown sugar and it is a very pretty color .Its a soft brown that's not too dark and a slight hint of shimmer to it .
Its a nice texture and keeps lips smooth .

Only con is that it doesn't last long . I feel like I have to constantly reapply it because it wears off so easily .

Bought this by chance on sale, the 020 Brown Sugar colour. Its smooth to apply, give a bit of shine but its doesn't have longevity.

I bought this on sale at Dis-Chem a while ago for about R 40. I don't hate this lipstick, but I don't love it either. At the price I get it for, I don't really mind that it hasn't impressed me that much.

As Leandra says below, the formula is very creamy and comfortable. It provides decent pigmentation as well. I was definitely expecting it to be more sheer and balm-like. Although the formula is creamy though, it's not particularly hydrating. It doesn't feel like it's boosting my lip moisture as claimed, but, then again, I have EXTREMELY dry lips.

The finish is quite glossy and I'm more into matte or satin finishes, but this product is lovely and wearable for the days when I just want to throw something on my lips and go.

Although the shade is called Pink Truffle, it isn't very pink-toned and reads more brown on my fair skin tone. I never, ever thought I would go for a brown-ish nude lip as an ultra-fair person, but this lippie has expanded my colour horizons.

I will get a decent amount of wear out of this and I don't detest it, but I will not be repurchasing. I'd rather purchase something like the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector for my low-maintenance lip days, as the formula is longer-wear and more hydrating.

I actually love this lipstick. It feels so creamy and comfortable on my lips. Staying power is very medium, I have to reapply every few hours. I like the fact that it also has a nice glossy shine to it. I would purchase this product solely based on the fact that it is such a comfortable wear.
I have the shade Pink truffle. Even though it has a name that suggests a pink shade, I find that it comes out to a more brown colour everytime.

The first time i used the product was back in 2012 when i won a Revlon hamper form Revlon,
i was not a lipstick person however i loved it. it moisturizes the lips whilst leaving a nice shine, its not too oily or too matt its just lovely. any color does it for me. I always have one in my bag,it goes well together with the Revlon lip colorstay liner.

I was so all smiles when I got to Dischem on Saturday! They had amazing cosmetic sale and while browsing I saw this amazing Revlon Lippie that I always wanted !! REVLON LIP BUTTER 020 BROWN SUGAR... Cant remember how much it was but it wasn't more than R50 The sales lady was so amazed at my excitement as I couldn't hold myself. I love the moisturising it gives and the lovely natural nude look it gives me! A.M. azing that's all I can say. Lovee it! love it to the bones!

Got the Pink Truffle a week ago, beautiful Flush of Colour. A good nude colour and can be built upon. I didn't find it as moisturising as I expected but then again I'm used to the softness that is babylips.

This is a good everyday wearable colour likely to suit a variety of skin tones.

I just bought mine for R55, also in the Pink Truffle shade. I really like how smooth it is in applying, and my lips aren't dry at all. The lipstick seems to be really moist which is awesome!

It looks creamy and moist on your lips and gives it a perfect sheen but be very sure to only use it if your lips are completely crack free as I have used it when my lips are dry and it seeps into the cracks and looks horrendous :/

Revlon has always been a product I love and have enjoyed using. I tested this lipstick in store and then decided to buy one and i am so happy it did. It is creamy and buttery on the lips feels, wonderful, colour I chose is amazing too!

This is a very comfortable moisturising cross between lipstick and lip balm! The colour is a deep browny red for suited for olive to brown complexions! Will require reapplication during the day but the comfortable moisturising formula in this product will have you keeping it in your hanbag and car! It will replace your favourite lip balm or lipstain,i love the colour and formula!

Got this on sale in Juicy Papaya at Clicks. It's super moisturising. Despite being a bright peachy shade, the color is not intense. I consider this more of a very pigmented lip balm rather than a lipstick.

I love this lipstic because its not sticky nd it does not crack.Its shiny and it lasts longer and its not too bright. Its a must have for someone who is afraid of all these bright colours.

When this lip butter released, I immediately purchased it. My first purchase was 001 Pink Truffle. It's a beautiful pink shade. I was obsessed. I used nothing else on my lips besides this amazing lip butter, until it got finished. I didn't purchase another one until last week. Unfortunately they didn't have my favourite shade, so I purchased 085 Sugar Plum.

The shade is a beautiful light plum shade, I use the lip butter over my just bitten lip stain pen, as it gives my lip butter a darker colour. This lip butter is something which is completely out of this world, mainly because its not a lipstick, neither is it a lip balm. This balm is moisturising and makes my lips feel soft and much more smoother and hydrated.

It's an absolutely creamy texture which is what I love about this lip butter. The texture is rich and fine, with beautiful strong colour pigments, it gives lips a huge burst of moisture and colour. These lip butters are perfect to keep dry lips in good condition and give lips enough moisture to be healthy.

This lip butter comes in a beautiful packaging. The lid is semi transparent with the colour of the lip butter, two sides of the lid is textured like a grid which is absolutely beautiful. The lip butter has a square tube, while the base of the tube is black. The rest of the tube is shimmering and shiny sliver which I really love about the lip butter because it looks classic.

I would really recommend you give this lip butter a try, mainly because the lip butter is rich and will keep lips well moisturised during winter and the colder seasons, while giving lips a beautiful colour. The shades have quite a few pastel shades. The lip butter retails at R125 per lip butter, which I think is reasonable for what you're getting.

I was so excited when Clicks had their Summer sale - it means bargains, bargain, bargains! R30 for Revlon - WHAAAAAAT! Needless to say I had to pick up three shades of these lippies I have been longing to try "Juicy Papaya" so many youtubers rave about this shade.

065 - Cremesicle | Gorgeous glossy nude colour
063 - Wild Watermelon | Sheer Red colour
027 - Juicy Papya | Shiny Peachy Orange colour

I think these lipsticks are amazing for a wash of colour, they are not very opaque and don't last that long they are very easy to use and have in your handbag for a quick lippy. I wouldn't purchase them at full price as I think they are not worth the hefty price tag!

I’d had my eye on this new range of Revlon colourburst balms since they first came out. I got the Whimsical Fantaisiste which is a pink/purple colour.

It has a slight peppermint scent and gives a bit of a soothing tingle when you apply it.

I loved how smoothly the balm went onto my lips. With one sweep, I had a good hint of colour and my lips were instantly moisturized, as they would be with a normal lip balm. I decided to apply more to see how ‘’deep’’ the colour became. And it is safe to say that the Revlon ColourBurst balm lacquer gives a solid color that you would get from lipstick. Only difference is that it does not feel heavy and feels just like any other lip balm.

The Whimsical Fantaisiste that I used has what they call large particle shimmer, which means it has a fair amount of glitter on it. So, if you hate glitter, then you should stay clear of it because it kinda gets everywhere. It’s perfect for a night out, though.

You have to be kidding me, is what crossed my mind as i opened the package and applied this *thing that my fiance had bought me. ai, I am taken, it is absolutely divine, thank you to his workplace for selling em this stuff, with in the first two days it had noticeably reduced, only because i kept wiping it off just to put it back on. amazing, smells, wonderful and I love the moisture.

As a little girl I grew up with reckon ads. Years later reckon still amazes me. Lip butter smells Devine. The texture feel on your lips is not greasy and perfect for every day.. I'm still growing up with revlon

These lip butters are the perfect lipsticks for me. They are creamy and very easy to apply. I love the neutral and pinks they are highly pigmented. I love them :)

Best lip product EVER!! Love the shades they came in. this range covers it all from the nudes to the bright summer colours and the deep winter tones. The colour selection isn't the best part....they glide on, feel great on and the colour can be built up to really stand out. I do think they have average staying power but i touch my lipstick up a few times in the day so that was not really an issue for me.
My favourite shade is pink frosting, Its a shade for all skin tones!

Nice for when you don't want your lips to look striking and bold. Glides on easily and provides instant moisturisation and shine. Comes with a slight tint that is sheer and perfect for anytime or season.

I guess pink truffle happens to be everyone's favourite. I love the amazing sheer look it gives my lips with the extra moisture in it. This lip butter is by far the most creamy and smooth lip product I've ever come across. The colour is long lasting and super durable on lips. I guess it does transfer a bit and need reapplication. However I would recommend you try this lip butter because its amazingly awesome :) especially if you need the moisture and a sheer colour, then this is definitely what you're looking for.

These are some of my favorite products of all time. They definitely live up to all the craze surrounding them. I own about 8 of the shades in the range and definitely am able to work each one to my Indian skin tone. these are now retailing for R95 at dischem so i definitely will be picking up a few more. my favorites are red velvet and peach parfait.

This is the perfect lip product because it nourishes like a lip balm keeping the lips moist and looking amazing and it gives a certain amount of colour. I do think a little more colour would have been amazing but if you pair it with a favourite lip liner and its truly perfect. Quick and easy solution to gorgeous lips especially with dry winters upon us. Wish it was a little cheaper so i could get a few more....

I have the REVLON Colorburst Lipstick - Mauve (005) which is a great colour for my skin clour and moisturises the lips beautifully but it's sheer looks was so not attractive on the lips. The lipstick piled up on the creases of my lips creating unattractive lines on the lips.

First things first, this is NOT a lipstick and it is NOT a lip balm. It is meant to give sheer color and lightly moisturize lips. I have tried a few of the shades but my favorite is Pink Truffle: it is super creamy, no shimmer that I can see, ultra moisturizing, and a good neutral color which fades to a nice natural stain.

Also a great fan of this even though it is a bit on the pricey side it combines all the ingredients to make lips look great. It is a lip gloss and lipstick in one if you are into sheer colours. Since I am not a fan of vivid bold colours this works great for me.

I really like this product as it is super moisturising and does a great job of preventing cracked, dry lips. It is a lip tint and provides a glossy finish so you dont have to buy any other products for your lips. The downside is that the colour is not as bright as other lipsticks but this is my preference.

Intantly soft lips with a lovely tint of colour! you won't go wrong when purchasing this product. It is simply amazing. The lip butters have a slight fruity smell but they give lips a whole new meaning to soft and smooth.

love love love these! i too have been waiting forever for these to arrive in sa as i heard the hype from overseas bloggers about this and i was not disappointed it is not that pigmented as a lipstick but it is more like a tinted lip balm that looks like a lipstick some colours show up better than others and the lasting power is not great but it does smell amazing due to the shea butter and coconut oil. also i loved how moisturizing it was and didnt dry out my lips but actually created an amazing shine and moist lips while it was on. i also love how easily it glides on the lips with no fuss or mess without a mirror. the packaging is amazing as the tops are coloured in the colour of the shade so it is easy to quickly find the shade you want. i do think however that the could have made the screw part at the bottom(the black part) a bit more longer to make opening the product easier as i do battle to open it when i am forced to only hold it with side of my finger and not my full finger. but other than that this is probably the best i have tried and i really hope to buy all shades as i only bought the shade lollipop. think of it as a lip balm,gloss and lipstick all in one :)

I love this Lip Butter from Revlon.I don't like obvious lipstick so I find the colour pay-off with this lip butter is perfect for me. It gives just a hint of colour (which you cn deepen by adding more layers if you want) and feels really moisturising.
As I would have expected of a lip butter it doesn't last very long, however I love the texture specifically because it's so moisturising, so this is not a problem for me.

Great Lip Butter from Revlon, it's so soft and really a pleasure to apply, but i don't think you should overdo it in the summer with this one because of it's softness it might run because of the heat, love love this product, just a pity the packaging looks a bit cheap.

There are five different shades in the range. I used Pink Truffle. Its browny-pink undertones suited my natural lips very well. Its basically a lip balm, lip stick all in one. Great for everyday wear. Moisturizes your lips and what i love mostly is it feels very smooth once applied, where often other products can feel very sticky but this is not the case. I would say it is meduim-wear, you will have to apply it a few times. I highly recommend this product for great moisturized lips and great colour.

Revlon lip butters are a combination of two products in one. It hydrates like a lip balm and also adds a hint of color like a lipstick. The colors are quite buildable. The shade I have is Peach Parfait. When swatched it gives a slight peachy shade with lots of shimmer. As much as I love the shade, I am not a big fan of the shimmers. The texture is smooth, easy to apply with a reasonable staying power. Due to its buttery nature, one has to reapply quite frequently. It retails for R120 at major pharmacies. I am quite inclined to try brown shades in the collection.
