I pulled all my hair over to the front of my head and combed and brushed it straight forward well. Then I clipped in the Clip and brought it down to the end of my hair watching the leveler as I brought it down. I took off about 1 inch, realizing that this method would give me a slight layer because the back hairs had started falling out of the clip as I brought it down. After this, I combed all my hair back again as straight as possible as if into a pony tail. Then I placed the Clip and slid it down until just the scraggly uneven ends stuck out. I snipped these off. When I was done, my hair looked completely and freshly dusted all over.
