Yardley was established in 1770 and is the oldest and one of the most successful cosmetics companies in the world

Jonathan Yardley started the company which was taken over by the Cleaver family in 1770. Eventually, the Yardley family managed to get back into the company through the convenience of marriage and business planning. This all took place in the 1800’s. The company continued to grow and eventually expanded across the world.

One of the most popular Yardley products in South Africa is the Oatmeal range. The Even Tone range promises to clear blemishes on your face and give you an even toned skin. Xen-Tan

Xen Tan is a sunless tanning brand that was established in 2002. What made this product range unique was the fact that they did away with the orange coloured tans and replaced them with olive under-toned tans. This helped to ensure that the tan looked more natural.

There was finally a product available that helped you achieve a sun kissed look that did not turn orange after wearing it. The olive undertone was chosen because it mimics the skin colour of those who tan naturally in the sun.

Another reason why Xen Tan products became popular is that they do not have an unpleasant odour that other products produce. This is because of the time release technology that has been formulated by Xen Tan. The time release agent controls the amount of DHA (dihydroxyacetone) released on the skin during application. This leads to a fragrance free and flawless application of the Xen Tan tanning products.

In addition, Xen Tan products also take care of your skin as they tan it. After years of research, formulations have been created using natural ingredients to give the right balance of nourishment and tanning for your skin. These ingredients include green tea, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Shea Butter and Moroccan Oil among others.

Xen Tan products can be found at selected Beauty Salons and Spas around South Africa.
