I have used Bio Oil before and it never worked in the past. With the receipt of the one I had to review I decided to try again, this is the reason why I have taken so long to write this review.
I applied it twice a day to a scar and stretch marks and have since seen no improvement at all.

I first tried Bio Oil after my breast reduction. I massaged it into my scars daily and after just 18 months, they are barely visible! Now I use Bio Oil all over my body.
In Summer it's always in my bag as a way to add a little extra glow to sun-kissed skin and in winter it's the best solution for dry skin - especially spots like knees, ankles and elbows. It doesn't leave you feeling sticky and the scent is so subtle that it doesn't clash with your perfume! I don't use any other moisturisers anymore.
Although it is one of the more expensive tissue oils available, I'm always willing to pay a bit more for Bio-Oil! I've tried a number of other brands but none smell as good or get absorbed as quickly.
It's definitely a product that I would recommend to anyone because it's gentle on sensitive skins, it's not sticky or smelly and you can take their little 60ml bottle in your handbag anywhere you go.

I tried Bio Oil on a burn mark on my arm, it worked like a bomb, but u must try and put it on everyday.

Not even close to impressed with this product. I tried this for weeks on a scar and stretch marks and needless to say after using in the morning an evening there wasn't even the slightest bit of improvement, neither had the scar nor the stretchmarks lighten in colour.

Bio Oils is amazing! I havent used it on any scars but as a night cream a few times a week it is a winner! especially under the eyes, I wake up with the softest skin, i love it

im not exactly sure what to say i have been using it for months and the bottle is almost done. however i am sticking to it for now. perhaps it works well in the long run? but right now summer is on its way and i need a quicker solution....

This is probably the best thing ever when it comes to skin! It works wonders on scars (I would know - I have a few from surgeries) and while its great at moisturization it also smells pleasant. This oil can be used as a treatment for scars, stretchmarks and discoloration. This is my little wonder product - great quality, yet afforable. I will never be without it

I really like Bio Oil. I use it as a moisturiser on my face, and during winter on elbows, knees and any other dry skin. You can even put a drop or two in your bath for super body moisturising, and it smells divine.

October i wrote my last review on bio oil and had not seen any effects. today i stand to be corrected my bottle emptied and thought i would give it one last chance and by another smaller one so that i would not waist so much money again. it was not a waist, finally the stretch marks just above my ankle started to fade. they look a lot better now and i am no longer afraid to get back into my shorts. for those of you who are trying it out for a first time. my skin was in a really bad state, when i bought my second tub of bio oil my friend suggested that i use sugar and honey scrub on my legs to remove the dead skin, and also add bio oil to my bath water. i have been doing the scrub and bio oil bath once a week and i think that is the reason for the new found results. so stick too it and try get to using it earlier.

ive recently started using bio oil as a night cream after ive washed my face. crazy as it may sound but its doing wonders to my skin. people are noticing the difference in my skin tone and its definitely lightened some of my old pimple marks and in the morning ive got smooth skin.

Not impressed
My mom is a huge fan of bio oil. This woman has bio oil coming out her ears! So when I stressed my lack of confidence due to stretch marks and scars (being allergic to mosquitoes and getting Chicken Pox at the age of 14 hasn't helped!) She was determined in having me try her go-to product. After 2 months, I gave up! I saw no improvement of what is said to be the most wonderful product for stretch marks and scars! Also, I felt that if you missed one application, your skin felt dreadfully dry the entire day that if you scratched it against something, gently, it left that visible white mark as indication of dry skin that looked like it hadn't been hydrated in years.

I've started using Bio Oil to lighten some scars from a previuos operation. It smells nice...a bit oily when you first put it on, But makes my skin feel soft. It's easily absorbed and a little oil goes a long way.

I’ve used the Bio oil in the older formula without Purcellin Oil and loved it, so I do love this new Bio Oil that contains that special ingredient. I thought it would be exactly the same, but there is a slight difference. The new formula still has the nice smell the old one had, the difference is that the new formula really gets absorbed even faster than the old one. After you apply it on your skin, it gets absorbed immediately and not greasy at all. I love the fact that you can use this on your face and body. I’ve used this on my face last winter when my skin was dehydrated, and my skin felt and appeared a lot more moisturised with any greasiness at all. It’s a great skin treatment to do before bed if you are experiencing dry skin and it also evens out your skin tone with consistent use.
I use this product on my stretch marks as well. I have noticed a small difference but that’s because I haven’t been using it as consistently as I should. I know when I did use it every day for a long period of time, the marks were a lot less evident. So the secret to reduce stretch marks is to use it daily, twice if you can for a minimum of 3 months to see effective results.

I am a huge tissue oil fan and use the Justine one every day as part of my beauty routine, so I was very excited to get the new Bio-Oil in my goodie bag! Thanks so much Lori and Kerri!! I think that the new Bio-Oil is absolutely amazing! It is nicely absorbed as long as you dont use too much and nourishes parched skin perfectly!

I received this great product from BB last week and have been using it twice daily since. It came at the right time as I intended to go and buy this anyways as I have 2 ugly dog bite scars around my knee area. I also have recently became allergic to insect bites and we've just had summer so that meant mosquito season, so each time I had a mozi bite I would end up with the biggest blue bruises like someone tackled me on the rugby field. So now I'm left with scars galore on my legs which is an eyesore.
I love the Bio-oil fragrance and I just love how luscious and soft my skin feels after applying it. I also used it on a dry patch of skin on my face and it was fabulous afterwards. I am going to continue using this for the few months so lighten my scars and also because its just a fabulous moisturiser.

I have received a small bottle of this but have also used up a bigger bottle of my own in the past. It works great as a moisturizing oil after shower. I would only recommend this in winter as I do find it a bit too oily for summer weather. I haven't noticed any changes with the stretch marks though. It is one of those thing that you need to use for a long time to see any effects.

This is an amazing product! My only regret is that I've only discovered it when I was 35 years old!! I'm now 38 and can recomment this product with Confidence. I've been using this product for 3 years now and even during the first month I could feel a difference in my skin.

In my opinion, one of the best investments you could possibly make for your skin. I've used Bio-oil at night since falling pregnant over 10 years ago. I have stretchmarks that are barely noticeable and, since using it on my face, I've noticed how dramatically it has evened out my skin tone. It really is wonderful and nourishing in Winter. A few drops in the kids' bath does wonders for their skin. I don't find it to be oily at all and the scent is gentle and not overpowering. Definitely the one skin product I would not do without!!

I first received a bottle of Bio-Oil when I fell pregnant. I received so may other products for stretchmarks , that I actually forgot about Bio-Oil and it collected dust in my cupboard. Then when I saw all the reviews and write-ups on BB, I decided to give it a try on my face. This winter has been very hard on my skin. I just finished the bottle after applying it to my face every night for the past couple of months. And WOW! What a difference it has made! My skin is smoother, clearer, more even. I was worried about applying an oil because I get blackheads and the occasional break-out. But the oil did not cause/worsen any of these. I can really recommend this product and now I understand what all the hype is about!

Best thing since sliced bread...
Use it in your bath or mix it with body lotion or on it's own. I also use it mixed with my face cream every now and then as a treatment oil!

This is a rather inexpensive product that has won many awards and does a great job of minimising the appearance of scars when used. Is fine for any part of the body and is quickly absorbed into the skin. I like that it does not leave behind much residue and that it has a nice light fragrance that masks the oily smell.

I love bio oil, I use it as my daily moisturiser when my skin needs some TLC, and in winter when I can notice my skin is really dry and flakey, I add two teaspoons of bio oil to my bubble bath to give my skin a lovely nourishing feeling. It also leaves my skin with a really lovely scent.

It is the greatest tissue oil that I have ever tried. Really works, especially for scars! After a long day in the sun or on the beach, I add a few drops to my bath - so hydrating!

I used Bio Oil from the day i found out that i was pregnant, i used no other product but Bio Oil in the hope to not get the dreaded stretch marks after pregnancy. My son is now turning 8 and i did not get a single noticeable stretch mark, i like to believe that Bio Oil played a big part in this.

Bio Oil is a product I cannot live without! I had very bad eczema scars on my legs, so bad that even during summer I would not wear my favourite dresses and skirts. Bio Oil improved the look of my scars within weeks. I used it twice a day and now I also just add it into my bath water for a little extra moisture.

I bought this for my pregnancies and achieved significant stretch mark reducing effects! I also use it as a facial oil and have been doin so even before facial oils became so mainstream! I use it for my sons eczema , as a bath oil, my husband uses it for razor burn! It improves skin elasticity! It's not greasy!it absorbs clean! A great multi purpose oil!

My stretch marks are actually a thing of the past because of Bio-oil ,it is jus that good and I can't write much about it as much has already been written except to say that I'm never short of this product. During the day I use it on my skin after a shower before I dry my body so it is easily absorbed and at night I apply to dry skin. If I have to pin point one product that has made the most impact on my skin it would be bio oil. :)

Been Using Bio Oil for A couple of Months now and and finally starting to see some results on. Awesome Product but its not your Quick fix... youve gotta keep at it for a while before reaping any benefits... its tiring but worth it

A decade later and I'm still using Bio-Oil. I especially love the supple feeling it gives my skin when I use it straight after a bath.. It has kept stretch marks at bay.. I love using it straight after a shower when my skin is still wet, I also love adding a few drops to my bath.. I even add some to my facial moisturizer.. It helps with dry lips as well.. Just apply a little on your before bed..

I bought this after a holiday in the sun to nourish my skin a bit. I also put on weight and lost it again, and got left with a few stretchmarks. I used this only for about 2/3 months and the scars dissapeared! Yay! A must-have if you are pregnant, or if you already have stretchies, works like a charm!

I had terrible scars coming out of a horrific accident, from my surgery and where the glass of the car window cut my face. from the time of my hospitalization, just after my scars were healed, my mom(my personal angel) knew how much i would hate my scars and started applying the bio-oil. it has been months now and my scars are hardly noticeable, the are no longer so deep and their size has decreased. i was so impressed i wrote into bio-oil telling them my story and thanking them for such a gorgeous product.

Ive been using the new bio-oil for some time now, i did not use the old product and i must say that i absolutely love the product. As chloe previously stated, it gets absorbed so quickly into the skin, nobody would want to sit and massage oil in for long, so im really happy about the product. Being in a wheelchair and sitting in all the time, one develops stretch-marks in the weirdest places. I bought this product to help me wit my prob areas. Look, i must say that i havent noticed a "huge" difference in their appearance, and they are very new scars, but im hoping that prolonged use will def make an impact. ive been using it for about 6months now.

I've been using bio-oil for years and it's been very good to me and very effective in it's skin restoring and healing properties. I would not change to any other tissue oil brand as this one has been it for me.
When I was a teen, I was very prone to acne which resulted in alot of scarring on my face. When I started with this product, I was a bit skeptical as it is an oil and thaught it would do more harm than good. But boy was I so wrong!
The scarring disappered and I could also walk with clear skin like all the other girls. It never made my skin really greasy and didn't provoke more breakouts like I thought it would. The only thing about Bio-oil is that one has to use it everyday and religiously for results to be seen.

Trusted Bio Oil - what can I say...works like a charm. Works for a multitude of skin ailments like very dry or chapped skin, stretchmarks etc. What I love most about this product is the fresh, clean smell. There is no greasy residue left on your skin after applying.

As countless user reviews will tell you, Bio Oil can be used for a multitude of remedies and treatments. Personally, I use it as a moisturiser when the going gets really, really tough... and dry. It's a little bit oily on your face (well, it is OIL after all) so you don't want to be applying it anytime before going out, and you'd want it to soak right in before going to bed so you don't mess oil on your pillows. But nothing else penetrates quite as well as Bio Oil when you need extra moisturising, especially in winter. The best part is it doesn't cause spots.

I like using body oils including Bio Oil, which is one of my favourites. The secret to Bio oil or any other oil for that matter of fact when it comes to scars and stretchmarks is you have to MASSAGE it in. Rubbing a little bit of oil daily on your marks isnt going to do anything as you need to break down the scar tissue.
The essentials oils in the Bio oil helps heal ,soften and regenerate the skin but you have to have to have to massage to reap full benefit.

Without Bio Oil my daily routine is incomplete. It totally makes my skin feel moisturised.
I haven't noticed any of my old scars becoming less noticeable and it hasn't worked on my stretch marks...so I mostly use it for moisture.
