I love the smell of this gel. It also absorbs into my skin really fast which I'm a fan of. I will purchase this product again. Especially for winter when my skin is really dry

I'm always weary when trying out a new moisturizer as my skin become inflamed or I break out. This Hydro Boost water gel left my skin feeling soft to the touch with a visible glow. It's very lightweight but provide a long-lasting, intense boost of moisture. It absorbs instantly and a little really goes a long way. If you want a youthful radiance without the heavy feeling on your face, then this is the products for you.

The water gel provides amazing hydration and my skin doesn’t feel tight after applying. The gel glides on easily, making my face feel fresh and ready for the day.
I only use it in the morning after I get out of the bath or shower because at night I apply pure aqueous cream to my face.
The product goes a long way and I only need one fingertip full for my entire face. It makes my skin feel soft and smooth for the entire day.

I was chosen by Beauty Bulletin in the #BBRecruitReview to try out the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel and I must say I was highly impressed. I generally have combination skin, however after the winter months it tends to be dry and in desperate need of a boost! I tried out the entire range for two weeks and this is my say;
The Water Gel is smooth and silky and feels like liquid jelly on your face! It has a breath taking scent which makes you long for some vitamin sea. And the best part are the results, my skin has never looked so healthy, hydrated and moisturized after one use! It had me going back for more and more. I used the Water Gel daily during my morning skin prep and I am now confident enough to go without makeup to hide all those dry skin patches!

This being my favourite left my skin feeling softer and refreshed immediately, being someone that has very oily skin i loved how the product was oil free and was easy to use. i felt that this delivered exactly what it said it would deliver. i did not find myself questioning myself but was beyond happy... this would be the first product i would recommend from the Hydo Boost Range.

I didn't think I would enjoy the gel water at first sight even though I had high hopes for the product. It took me some time to get used to the texture. I now totally love it, despite not completely getting rid of my dry spots. It is working its magic slowly but surely. A lot goes a long way and leaves the face feeling supple and hydrated. My lips definitely don’t get as dry as they usually do which is a big plus.
How I’ve used the products:
In the morning I use the cleanser in the shower to clean my skin of dead skin cells. Once out the shower I give my skin an extra cleanse with the micellar water on a cotton pad. I then use a generous amount of the water gel, paying careful attention to my dry spots and lips. Then comes putting on my face as I like to say (not that I use much makeup ;)).
At night I get lazy at times and only use the cleanser sometimes. I use a facial wipe every night to get rid of makeup and impurities that have come to visit during the day. I give my face a good clean and then will sometimes do 2 rounds of cotton pads using the micellar water. I make sure the pad is clean before putting on a generous amount of water gel, paying careful attention to my dry spots and lips.
I will definitely buy the Water Gel again.

This product has blown my mind. For the low price of R139,95 the quality you get us amazing.
Firstly the packaging looks awesome. The metallic blue box looks uber chic, and the cream itself looks more like a fancy gel then a regular boring face cream. The cream also smells amazingly fresh! I cannot put my finger on the exact smell but it definitely reminds me of a fresh summer fruit (maybe kiwi?).
It also has a great 'spreadability' which means less is more (who doesn't love a face cream that lasts for months on end) and it keeps my skin hydrated all day long without any signs of oiliness or shine.
I'll definitely continue using this cream as it is great value for money, makes my skin feel fresh and radiant all day long, and is easily available through major retail stores such as Clicks, Dis-Chem & Foschini.

Wow what an experience!
I have been using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel to complete my daily beauty routine for the last 6 days!! What an easy and effective way to start and end the day.
The Gel is light and hydrates throughout the day. It is perfect to use under my make up and I have not felt that dry sensation since using the Hydro Boost range.
In my opinion the range is light on my skin, yet effective and concentrated that there is no need to use a lot of the product, this also being value for money as it lasts longer than other products who claim to "Hydrate" the skin but reapplication is required for those products to use.
I think this range has certainly converted me to the HydroBoost range and I look forward to the results during the cold winter months. #AlwaysBounceBackSA

Really love the packaging - seems uncommon for a product at this price point. The water gel is super lightweight, smooth and cream. You can really feel the instant hydration and moisturisation taking place from the first application. The gel also works in moisturising dry lips and makes for an excellent primer before applying make-up. Excellent value for money.

I tried out a sample from Clicks today and I must say I am not surprised. Neutrogena has also been a reputable brand.
My skin has been feeling dull lately and this was exactly what it needed. It has an odd 'texture' to it, mix between thin lotion and gel. When I rubbed it between my fingers, it turned more watery. It felt so nice on my skin and was absorbed really quickly. I can't stop touching my cheek, because it's so super soft!
The price isn't too bad either. I definitely want to buy the eye gel and give that a try.

This is such an awesome lightweight moisuriser packed with the Hyaluronic Acid Gel Matrix to provide long lasting intense boost of hydration for moisture starved skin. This really is such a light weight moisturiser - but it packs a punch. Although this absorbs into my skin instantly - my skin doesn't feel tight or dry all day - and I can wear my favourite matte foundations all day without worrying about it looking caked on or clinging to dry patches. This moisturiser is for people with normal to combination skin - and as I mentioned I do get an oily T-zone - but this does help to keep the oilyness at bay too. In winter I will most definitely try the Hydro Boost Gel Cream version too that's specifically for people with dry or very very dry skin types.

This is a pretty good product at a very reasonable price. It currently retails for R129.00.
I really enjoy the light fragrance, the cool blue colour and the consistency.
It is very light weight and fast absorbing. It comfortably hydrates my skin and I do notice some plumping.
I definitely recommend that you try this one out!

I got this Water Gel when my skin was having a tantrum - I'd just come off the pill, and my previously dehydrated, but normal skin was oily and dehydrated. My regular day lotions were too rich for me, and this one did the trick - it provided the hydration my skin needed during the day, without causing me to get oily within the first hour of applying my makeup.
Lovely for sunburnt skin too, as it hydrates and soothes.
I won't repurchase as my skin prefers the Gel Cream now that it's settled down.

Being sensitive, I was worried when I started this line. But my skin is glowing now. I don’t apply any makeup on my skin beyond an eyeliner and mascara so I want my skin to look and feel refreshed and well hydrated. This product delivers just that for me.

My skin really likes this gel. It's quite cooling and hydrating. Worked well for me all seasons helping with my glow up.
The light bublegummy scent is also cute and make it a bit fun. The only down side to this is that sunscreen is an additional step.
With the right skin care regimen for your skin type, this gel can take your skin to the next level indeed.
Don't forget to wear sunscreen

The packaging is quite pretty, in a lovely bright blue - The smell is absolutely amazing - I cannot even describe it, almost as lovely as shampoo :p The consistency is super thin and 'watery' but it absorbs extremely nicely once you massage it in :) It leaves your face feeling SO FRESH and soft and supple! I am quite impressed with this product, will recommend to friends with dry skin! x

I've been using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel for two weeks and I absolutely love it! I have oily/combination skin. Initially I was skeptical about using a hydroboost water gel but I love it. After two weeks of using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel daily, my skin no longer has that tight sensation around my nose/cheeks.
The con of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel is that the moisturiser does not have a SPF factor of 15/30. I still have to wear my sunblock over the moisturiser. My preference is too have a SPF in my moisturiser. It would be great it Neutrogena could include a scoop as I don't like using my hands in my moisturiser for bacterial purposes.
I think its good value for money and will repurchase the product.

I am truly impressed with this range of face products. I received the face wash, wipes and the Hydro face gel. The face wash and the wipes are awesome but I feel that I am not getting the moisture I need from the face gel. the texture and the feel is amazing, but I need to apply extra moisturizer soon after. I would definitely recommend the face wash and the face wipes. :)

This product leaves the skin feeling hydrated and soft and it easily absorbed into my skin.
You don't need to use a lot of product as with this product a little goes a long way. The gel has a nice fragrance.
For the week that I did use it I did see my skin looking more youthful and hydrated

This gel based moisturizer works wonders. It applies nicely to the skin and absorbs into your skin immediately leaving your skin feeling hydrated. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky either.

I didn't enjoy using the gel to be quiet honest. Although I have combination skin I found it dry for my face and the water gel did not blend well with my makeup.
Unfortunately I wouldn't repurchase this product for the above reasons, I believe the water cream would have worked better.

For the most part, this silky gel cream moisturizer really does deliver on its promise of hydration and kicks butt as a make-up primer. Hydro Boost hydrates skin through an approach of replenishing water and rebuilding skin's barrier, leveraging two key ingredients:
• Purified Hyaluronic Acid- Naturally found in skin, it delivers pure boost of hydration. It acts like a sponge for dry skin cells, absorbing up to 1000 times its weight in water and progressively releases water back into skin, keeping skin hydrated and supple throughout the day.
• Olive Extract- Known for its protective, moisturizing and anti-oxidant qualities, it is a complex combination for fatty acids, which is similar to skin's natural moisture shield. It integrates into skin barrier, forming a structure that protects skin from excessive moisture loss. It also helps leave skin feeling soft and smooth without tackiness.
However, hydration is pretty much all it offers. Being in my late 20’s I require a moisturizer that offers more than basic hydration. I was also unhappy to learn that the jar packaging presents hygiene issues and is a contributing factor to the potency and efficacy of the ingredients as time goes by. This means that the ingredients become less and less effective the more the formula is exposed to air. So despite the soothing texture and moisture-boosting promises, this is a moisturizer is better suited to younger skin types or used in conjunction with another skin care system that can multitask. Not for me.
At best, I enjoyed mixing it with foundation and bb cream for extra oomph in my make up routine.
