Stila Color Correcting Cream

Green with envy? I was when I was first introduced to the Stila CC Color Correcting Cream. It is green after all and I had to have one! This correcting cream lived up to my expectations and I could literally check off the list of benefits one by one the longer I used it. The most important benefits to me were reducing hyperpigmentation and hydration. I have dark rings under my eyes and I generally have dry skin, so you can imagine my excitement when the Stila CC Color Correcting Cream began to hide all that.

I use it daily on a freshly washed face before applying my foundation. I use a minimal amount so I am sure it will last a while, thank goodness! While this product may be pricey for some, rest assured it will last quite some time and most importantly it is very effective. Dare I say, on the odd day I go makeup comando and the Stila CC Color Correcting Cream may be all I wear and it really gives me a natural, healthy glow. Great to apply before hitting the beach this summer!

Stila CC Cream for Pale Skin

Being an extremely pale person, I have difficulty with finding a coverage for my skin that is the correct shade of fairness. A beauty blogger on twitter recommended this product to me and without hesitation, I bought it.

I have the 01 Fair CC cream which starts out a scary green colour (this is to help hide the redness of the skin) and then magically matches to the skin colour. I have used this product til the last drop and I will definitely go back for more.

I initially used it on its own in Summer but have now started wearing it under my Estee Lauder double wear foundation and they seem to be complimenting each other well. I bought the 40ml in November 2013 and its lasting almost 10 months, so it really has good value to the price (R450).

Lastly, my skin is very oily so during the summer time I applied the Stila Hydrating Finishing powder to prevent any shininess that the CC cream created on my T-zone. However, I find in winter that I didn't have to use it.

This has to be my new fav make up product of all time. SERIOUSLY!! ever since my first Stila product purchase mid last year, I have become totally and utterly addicted to this brand. The quality of their products
are AMAZING to say the least, and I have not been disappointed with any of my purchases to date, and that is saying a lot!!

Soooo, my skin concerns are as follows:

I have OILY skin (like really bad)
minor breakouts that causes redness
acne marks (from past pimples which I could not leave alone
And dull skin - for this past 2 months my skin care has fallen to the whey side (sooo ashamed!!)

After much research, my answer to all these problems came in the form of Stila CC cream in shade Tan!

It has a medium slightly runny texture that once squeezed out of the tube is mint green in colour, but changes to skin tone upon blending! It has a nice fresh, pleasant scent and blends in easily offering a sheer - to medium coverage, but it is buildable.

This beautiful cream gives me amazing converge, brightens my skin, covers my marks, eliminates redness caused by current pimples, is light weight, breathable, and makes my skin look like a model version of its formal self, BUT yet extremely natural and effortless. Not to mention it is long wearing, keeps my oiliness in check and keeps my skin looking fresh through out the day!

I think i am in love. Seriously.

Its priced at R395, which I think is a bit pricey, BUT for all the benefits, I would say it is TOTALLY WORTH IT!! yes, i would recommend this, I would recommend it very much :)

Stila CC Cream

The Stila CC cream reminds me very much of the Estée Lauder DayWear sheer tint release moisturiser I wore for at least two or three years back in the day, right down to the scent of it. The cream is green-tinted and transforms to your skin tone when you apply it. I have it in shade 02 light. It promises 72 hours of continuous hydration. Not sure who would actually test this by going 72 hours without washing their face, but I lean towards believing the claim. I tried it without moisturiser - remember I have seriously dry skin - and found it perfectly hydrating. What else do I love? The coverage is sheer, but it definitely evens skin tone and hides redness. I have some post-blemish red marks which stick around for weeks, and they were practically invisible after applying this. The best thing about it is that it's unnoticeable on your skin, like you aren't wearing anything but your skin just looks like a prettier, smoother and more even-toned version of itself.

I have tried it on its own and under makeup. So it can be used as a perfecter of sorts before makeup if you are that way inclined. It adds an extra bit of coverage to my Dior BB cream and looks really flawless. Now I use it alone and it's the perfect natural-looking skin companion, especially for summer. I wore it to the beach on a sweltering day and my face didn't get shiny or melt one iota. It is worth using daily because it lightens pigmentation and discoloration with continued use, and contains antioxidant vitamin C, so there are added skincare benefits too. This is one product I am happy I spent R395 on!
