Revlon Photoready BB cream

This was the first BB cream I ever tried ..
I was very excited to see the capabilities of a BB cream.
For me this product blended easily in to my skin and left a nice dewy finish.
It is very mild coverage and I must add it did wear off half way through the day.

But it's almost like a tinted moisturiser so if it wears off you just need to touch up with some powder.
The one thing that bugged me is that when it was left to stand for a few days the product began to separate and when used it with squirt out an oily substance.
So remember to shake it before each use just so the product mixes well.

Other than that I was quite happy with it.

Revlon Photo Ready BB Cream

So not impressed with this product. Sadly, even though I have a combination skin so only the nose and chin area get oily, I found it left my skin very oily after just a few hours and I constantly had to blot it with blotting paper towards the end of the day. It didn't blur out any imperfections and actually made my pores look bigger. This may work on ladies with very dry skin and not many imperfections to blur. To be honest, todate I haven't really found a BB cream that fulfils all its promises, but am still hopeful that there is one out there...

My Honest Take on this product...

Firstly we need to understand my skin to understand how this product worked for me: I have a yellow undertone to my skin, T Zone can get oily depending on the weather and have a few dry patches here and there, I am also prone to pigmentation and blemishes. I have read it is not recommended for oily skin and my main motivation for purchasing this product was because of the claim of it being lightweight and having a SPF 30

I found this BB Bream applied quite nicely, consistency was sort of thick which tricked me into thinking MAX Coverage (I was wrong) blended well and left a sort of dewy look to my skin...

I did set it with a bit of powder because I have read that it does not last very long..

Fast forward 2h30min:
I started looking really oily but once I blotted it looked good again

Pros:
SPF 30
Blended really well
the 040 suited my skin tone quite well
Easy application if you are on the go/don't have much time for make up in the morning
It did moisturize well as claimed

Cons:
I didn't find my flaws were blurred
Started to look oily after a few hours
Did not cover like a foundation
After blotting (with blotting paper) for about 5 or 6 times product was almost non existent.

I am in no way a beauty professional but based on my find I would imagine this product working really well for someone with Normal or dry skin

Revlon Photo Ready BB Cream

I really have loved using this particular BB cream, it gives me good coverage, has a great sunscreen and is light. It moisturises my skin which is inclined to feel dry in winter. It is not very expensive and I will most definitely buy it again.

Revlon Photoready BB Cream in Deep

Felt smooth going on with light coverage as I prefer however within 2 hours my skin felt dry again. The colour though not perfect fit was not too bad. I will not be repurchasing this and have since donated to my fairer friend.

Light textured beauty balm which provides good coverage for all skin types. Great for those who don't like to wear heavy makeup but want to conceal imperfections (who doesn't right?) Added benefits is that it helps to repair, nourish and protect skin. The price is justified due to the multiple purposes.

Being a no-fuss, recent user of make-up I was thrilled to be introduced to Revlons Photoready Range. Then the hype surrounding BB Creams had me wanting more. Eventually, Revlon got aboard the revolutionary train and came up with their Photoready BB Cream.

It's ever prominent promotions and ad's in almost every magazine publication had me convinced this was the only BB Cream for me!

It offers perfect skin without all the layers( And yet here I though, layers were all teh range for Autumn). Revlon offers a lightweight BB Cream that HYDRATES like a moisturizer, SMOOTHES like a primer, COVERS like a foundation, BLURS flaws like a concealer and PROTECTS with an SPF30 like a sunblock.

And YES, this creamy formula definitely does deliver on all their said benefits. It leaves skin soft, supple and even in tone. I didnt appreciate the fact that my skin tone matched the darkest shade in the range. This means that their colour palette is a tad warped. Darker or Lighter shaded women might make a hasty purchase if they dont seek the help of a cosmetic assistant.

The consistency of the cream is smooth and airy. It blends onto skin easily and leave an almost irredescent shine. This "glittery" look is known throughout the photoready range. This effect helps absorb and disperse light evenly to achieve a flawless "photoshopped" look.

This BB Cream is extremely versatile in both helping to achieve perfect "FB" photos, looking fresh and perfect at all times or even for the outdoors as it contains a relatively high SPF.

The cream does indeed cover marks, dis-colourations and scars with ease all whilst being extra moisturizing and long-wearing.

I wore this BB Cream for a beach photo shoot and was absolutely thrilled with the results. My skin looked matte and shine free. My pimples and uneven tone were banished and a smooth canvas was achieved. The one aspect I really loved about this cream was that it was able to adapt to the different skin shades of my mum, sisters and I. This is great in saving on costs but not so great when theres one tube amongst 4 females..EEEeeeKkk!

This product overall is Revolutionary! Revlon has once againcame out on top with a product that delivers on all its 5 promises. Unfortunatley I cannot continue using this marvelous BB Cream as my sensitive skin reacted very badly to this formula.

I got this product to trial awhile ago and I love it. Works amazingly without being thick plus the added bonus on being 5 products in one.

I have already bought another tube, even though you don't need much.

Tips on their website for this product: Dab on cheeks, nose, and forehead, and blend outward. Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream may be worn alone on bare skin or over your regular skin care for additional moisture. Three versatile shades will adapt to fit your individual skin tone.

BB Creams have become a hit in South Africa and are taking the world by storm. To tell you the truth, I've become addicted to BB Creams, I always want to try new BB Creams because they make life so much easier. With campus and weekends out, time is never enough for beauty routines which can take up to 20 minutes extra.

Everyone knows about Revlon's amazing Photoready Range which can make you simply fabulous in every picture you take, natural light or flash, and nothing is more important to a girl than looking simply perfect in every picture she takes.

I recently came across the Revlon Photoready BB Cream *super excited* while shopping in Foschini, and as usual my shopaholic side got the better of me and my wallet. The BB Cream comes in the colours : Light, Medium, Dark and Deep. However you must test the BB Creams before purchasing else you can go really wrong! Revlon is known to have Foundations, Powders and Mineral Foundations which don't actually match the colour you might take in another brand. Example : In Garnier and Rimmel BB Cream I'm a Medium, however the Revlon Photoready BB Cream only blended well in Deep. The actual colour of the BB Cream can be seen through a clear rectangle window on the BB Cream tube.

Revlon states that their amazing Photoready BB Cream can:
- HYDRATES like moisturizer
- SMOOTHES like primer
- COVERS like foundation
- BLURS FLAWS like concealer
- PROTECTS with SPF 30 like sunscreen

And here's the best part... Revlon is 100% correct!

I was really excited after testing the product for my colour in Foschini, and I couldn't wait to try it the next day. When I got up the next morning I decided to use it for campus. I use BB Creams mainly on campus days because I love my make up to look natural yet perfect for the entire day so I don't have to touch up.

As I opened the tube I got the pleasant smell of the BB Cream, it wasn't actually fragranced, however it had a nice sunscreen smell, which I liked. I applied some of the BB Cream on the back of my hand and begun to apply it to my face. I noticed that the BB Cream had an amazing smooth feeling, which felt like velvet as soon as it touched my face. The BB Cream blended into my skin and turned into a completely natural yet flawless finish. It also gave me a perfect finish, because it hid all my imperfections and gave my skin an absolutely amazing look like a foundation with a good coverage. I was really impressed. I waited for about 10 minutes until checking back on my BB Cream which was applied to my face (main reason is that the BB Creams need to be dusted with loose powder to give me a matte finish because they make my skin look really oily). I was amazed this BB Cream didn't need anything at all. It lasted for up to 10 hours, without transferring onto any clothing. It didn't need any touch ups or oil control paper. And the best part is your skin will NEVER look grey in another photo again!

PRO's and CONs

PRO's
*Makes skin feel soft and smooth
*Has a velvet finish to skin without a thick look
*Doesn't cake on skin
*Gives skin a flawless finish
*Last for very long
*Makes skin look natural
*Has slight shimmer to hide imperfections
*Non oily - so skin doesn't need to be dusted with loose powder

CON's
*Shades must be tried on before purchasing, else you can go very wrong deciding on the correct shade
* It's a more expensive BB Cream than the other ones around ( retails for R150)
* It's very limited in stock.

I would really recommend this product to anyone who loves BB Creams and looking perfect in photos, because R150 is really worth it for a flawless look which last all day. And the best part of this product is you can never go wrong with a Revlon product, especially this one because its a Photoready product.

Revlon South Africa were so excited about their new Photoready BB Cream and about how amazing and lightweight their product is, they updated a status to their Facebook fans saying "This winter, we’ll leave the layering to our jackets and sweaters. Our new BB Cream hydrates, smoothes, covers, blurs and protects without the layers of multiple products. (Added bonus: it includes SPF 30!)". They were 100% right. Once you try out this product, you will definitely leave the layering for the jackets and sweaters. Why settle for anything less? Try the new Revlon Photoready BB Cream.
