I absolutely adore the Lux range of body washes. My favourite varient is the Taste Me one which smells like chocolate. It has little exfoliating beads in it and is supposed to give you an even glow. I've been using this for about 5 months and there is no even glow, so I suppose this is just advertising exaggeration.
As a body wash it leaves skin feeling soft and silky with no over drying like some. Some nights I don't even apply body butter or oil after I shower in the evening. The fragrance lingers on for a while and its positively heavenly.
The 200ml retails for under R20 and the 400ml shouldn't be more than R30 if I'm not mistaken. I generally buy the 400ml and it lasts me more than 1 month.

Lux Sheer Twilight Body Wash ticks all the boxes! I just love it!!! Very affordable at R22,00 from Dischem for a 400ml bottle and a little squeeze onto your loofah produces lots of creamy lather, so it really is an economical buy when you need to stretch your rand a little bit further. And who doesnt want a little bit of luxury at a bargain price? The scent is gorgeous - Black Orchid infused with Juniper Oil and you are left enveloped in a cloud of fragrance and skin is left soft and silky - not dried out like an old prune! Hooray for Lux and their new body wash fragrances!

I only use showel gel and fell in love with the lux range immediately! Not only are they very affordable, it smells amazing and you feel really cleansed and refreshed after your wash. Fantastic product.

Lux beauty and body washes are a must have for all women. they are good value, smell great and makes your skin feel amazing.
Wwhy not treat yourself to a lovely spa treatment at home with some candles and chocolates. Lux just completes everything.
You just have do add a few drops to your loofah, rub lightly on your skin and let the magic happen!
It doesnt dry your skin at all and no need to even apply moisturiser!

I tried out the new Lux sheer twilight and I have to say I was taken by surprise.
Everyone knows how luxuries the Lux brand is and with the sheer twilight body wash it was no different. I love how the bottle looks , the fragrance of the product is absolutely amazing…
As soon as I opened the bottle I got the beautiful orchid smell, which is so inviting.
The feel of this product on your skin feels fantastic, so smooth and sensual , it foams up nicely not too soapy thou. Do be aware of not squeezing too hard, mistake I made and had tons of body wash everywhere.
I was a bit disappointed at the fact that they over sold a bit on how long it lasts on your skin, it’s definitely not hours…. But none the less it does smell great on skin leaving you with an amazing after shower scent.
It’s a bonus that the cost of the Lux sheer twilight body wash is so economical and affordable to all.

I RECEIVED THE LUX SCARLETT BLOSSOM TO REVIEW AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE COLOURS ON THE BOTTLE. HOWEVER I DO NOT LIKE THE SMELL AT ALL.....IT WAS NOT APPEALING TO MY SENSES. so ive been using this body wash for a few days now, and ive noticed a few things.. The fragrance really lasts for a long time, and this body wash works goes well when used with a loofa. Its a good shower gel when basing it on its low price (as mentioned in my previous review, it retails for anything between R17-R23).
The body wash is made up of Black orchid and Juniper oil. The body wash is very moisturising, doesnt dry out my skin at all. I absolutely love the attractive packaging, easy on the eye! ;-)

What's better after a long stressful day at work than to pamper yourself and enrobe your body in the mesmerizing and enchanting scent of Black Orchid and Juniper Oil. As the scents mix, they create a calming and relaxing scent which makes your skin feel amazingly refreshed and clean.
My first reaction when I saw the bottle was that its so eye catching, the bottle had a burst of purple which attracted me to the bottle, while the lid of the bottle has a shimmer effect which catches the light. The most exciting part for me was when I opened the bottle, a huge "OMG" was waiting to come out. I squeezed some of the body wash on a sponge and watched as a beautiful royal purple gel was right there before me. The body wash had a good consistency which I would agree isn't too runny or too thick, it's just perfect.
As I started to create a lather I was amazed that the foam had a purple tint which got me so excited because I've never seen a body wash with a tinted foam before, but the foam eventually begun to fade, but that refreshingly sweet scent was still lingering all over the sponge and in the shower, as it mixed with the hot water I strangely felt the scent enhanced. I found the body wash to be very foamy and felt absolutely luxurious on my skin. After having a shower I could smell that yummy scent all over my skin. It faded over time, however the scent does linger on skin.
I would recommend you give this body wash a try because the scent is really dreamy and amazing. Plus for R15 this body wash is completely worth it for the long lasting scent.

I was sent the new Lux Fine Fragrance Body Wash to review, and I was so excited to get it that I rushed to the Post Office during my lunch break and eagerly opened it up at my desk. A tiny little bit of the body wash had leaked out, and I kept getting wafts of the sweet perfume while I worked.
The body wash comes in a generous bottle with an easy-to-use flip top cap which is great in the shower when you only have one hand available! The lid is pearlescent and sparkles beautifully.
The texture of the body wash is gel-like with microscopic Fragrance Pearls that hold the perfume. The colour of the body wash is a vibrant violet that lathers up quite nicely into a white colour. For best results I used a pouffe to wash.
The most important feature of the body though has to be the fragrance. Sheer Twilight is a romantic mix of black orchid and juniper oil. Juniper Oil is used in aromatheraphy to calm nerves and reduce anxiety, and the black orchid not only has a beautiful aroma, but it is also said to symbolise the elite in society and high fashion.
As soon as I started to lather the body wash, the fragrance was lovely and strong. The secret to the great smell of the body wash is the Fragrance Pearls which release the scent while you scrub.
Lux claims that the fragrance is long-lasting, so just how long are you left smelling good after you have left the shower? I am very sad to admit that although the smell is quite strong while showering, I could just barely smell it after I got dressed.
All in all I absolutely love the smell of Sheer Twilight, and although I couldn't smell it for very long after my shower, the smell was divine while I was showering and I did feel very relaxed.
I would most definitely buy this product and recommend it to a friend.

So After Receiving this product (thank you BB, and Lux) Im about ready to start reviewing it. The product comes in both a 200 ml and 400ml size. BB, provided its reviewers with a 200ml size, which is reasonable to try and review the product. The body wash cost range from R17-R23 (www.pricecheck.co.za) and is available from all major supermarkets, and even pharmacies. Price being so low,makes this affordable for most if not all women who long to be pampered and end up smelling fabulous at the same time!! ;-) Did I mention that I am absolutely craze about the colour, oh so purple.. the texture of this body wash is between a gel like and lotiony feel, cause once it mixes with water, it all but dissapears and becomes a world of bubbles, and the fragrance, No one would ever forget it. Once I just ran it under warm water, the entire bathroom was a palace of fine smells.. which lasted for quite some time!! ;-) Happiness is me.

I work very long hours,this body wash is all i need at the end of the day.
The packaging is attractive,it even brings a brightness to my bathroom.
I love the smell it's fresh and wonderful.It does wonders to my skin,it moisturises, makes my skin soft and i smell divine the whole day.

I have now tried out 3 of the lux body wash range and I can simply not choose the best one because they all are. I am looking forward to each bath or shower to just entice my senses with lux, and to top it all off hubby loves it as well.

MMmmm… a delightfully decadent addition to the Lux body was family… Introducing the luscious, lavish and lust-worthy Lux Fine Fragrance in Sheer Twilight.
Now days when you hear the word Twilight, you immediately think Jacob, Edward and Bella running through some forest, but LUX has now brought the magnetic fantasy back to our senses.
This body was from Lux is infused with Juniper oil and the lavish scent of the Black Orchid. Just the mention of these two ingredients sends you on a magical and enchanted journey. The smell is absolutely divine; it definitely enhances your bathing/showering experience. This body wash is rich and opulent making a daily mundane task feel like a royal treatment.
The bottle is done in an ombre effect starting at the top in white and ending in a deep purple/plum. The lid and nape of the bottle is curved, this is a simple but effective technique used to create a beautiful feminine form. The back has little circled illustrations with instructions for use. The front and back shows a creamy almost satin looking purple liquid being poured like liquid silk. This I find is quiet deceiving as I expected the wash to have a similar consistency; yet the wash is more of a gel.
The gel wash needs some squeezing in order to flow freely from the bottle but once on the sponge builds up to a creamy, fragrant lather. I squeezed some onto my fingers and found the consistency to be ‘tacky” and gummy. It’s also not very effective to use as a bath soak as not many bubbles are produced this way.
The gel is a deep purple colour but can be seen through. Little tiny bubbles can be seen in the el, this I assume are the fragrance pearls. The wash is easy to use and leaves skin feeling silky soft, supple and nurtured. The steam enhances the scent and helps envelope all your senses. I was impressed that the deep purple colouring managed not to stain my white body sponge.
I was a tad disappointed though that about after an hour the scent had dissipated, but my skin was still feeling smooth and soft. Now that were heading to a drier season I find from using this body wash, my skin is more hydrated. I have been bowled over by LUX, they’ve proven to me there not a “mummy” brand that I once perceived them to be. My one recommendation though would be to have a more detailed bottle that represents the variant better like maybe the actual Black Orchid opened under a starry purple sky.

The LUX Beauty Body Wash : Sheer Twilight has a lovely designed bottle , perfect for anywhere also a beautiful label goes from white to pink-purple to purple –black. Like the lid of the bottle short of child prove. The wash is creamy and thick and a bit sticky with this deep purple (THE BLACK ORCHID) colour that works in to a lovely foam ( I use a scrub (exfoliator) sponge). It smell wonderful and keeps me smelling flowery all day, even my husband likes the smell.
There is only one problem with it and that is that after a few days I notice that my skin is dryer (and that is not because of winter) . and I had to put on body cream and I don’t even do body cream.
I did find that it relax you after a long day, the smell of the BLACK ORCHID and JUNIPER OIL gives off this amazing fragrance that enhance the body and mind to relax( if you shower alone….. LOL)
A part from the dry skin the is a wonderful product to use.
Maybe I’m just get old and need to use body cream…..LOL

Firstly Thank-you to BB for sending me the Sheer Twilight to review. I must tell you that the bottle is a very attractive bottle, very eye catching! Secondly the colour of the body wash is something very spectacular! Its this luminous purple...very cool :) I think there is something mystical about this body wash because of the black orchid infused in the wash, the distinct smell it has...it definitely is a lingering smell, one of those that "lingers' and "drifts" in the air and throughout the house. It is also quite a sweet smell though BUT.. if you like sweet flower type scents I would definitely recommend this body wash. Its also very creamy and foamy and makes your skin feel very soft and smooth, even though the consistency of the liquid doesn't look creamy, it makes your skin soft! believe you me.. ;) Great product :) Highly recommended... xoxo

This beautifully fragranced body wash comes in a slick white and purple bottle. The formulation of the body wash creates an amazing lather that does not disappear. The fine fragrance of Black orchid and Juniper oil, lingers on your body the whole day. I wish I could fine this fragrance in a perfume! The body wash is a little drying but I would suggest getting the matching body lotion to keep that beautiful fragrance the whole day.

omg...talk about a caltivating product. after a long stressful day,close the door,run a hot bath and use lux sheer twilight body wash. it releases all the stress with the amaizing scent, taking u to a place of calmness and happiness

I got this one on my mail last week and was very happy with it.As the bottle says the fragrance stays for a long time compared to other body washes.I love the smell!
It also had a mysterious note to it's fragrance that makes me feel fresh and sexy.
Love LUX!I've tried all of their range and this one still my favorite because of the fragrance and how it makes my skin moist because of juniper oil

I looked forward to my free sample of LUX Beauty Body Wash Sheer Twilight with eager anticipation. I have used LUX beauty soaps for most of my life, so am quite familiar with the brand.
Flipping the cap, immediately you smell the aromatic fragrance, which has a sensuous appeal.
Compared to beauty soaps which can be pretty messy and wasteful at times, you only need a gentle squeeze on your bath sponge to lather your entire body from top to toe. A little certainly goes a long way!
LUX Beauty Body Wash Sheer Twilight, is indeed an exhilarating experience. I shall certainly add this product to my shopping list.

The lux body wash can gets a 9/10 for doing what its supposed to do, which is be an effective body wash, and cleanse the body, from top to bottom. Still im not a fan of making use of a loofah, which is recommended, so im still a bit bummed about this ;-(
Having now used this product for 10 days straight, I can say, this product is value for money, because I still have so much left of it. Having said that I think even this 200ml which is a generous size is going to last me quite some time.
This product is easily available from most stores in S.A which include most pharmacies and the usual super markets and stores such as Clicks, Shoprite, Pick n Pay,etc.
Ladies who are prone to migraines from being sensitive to certain smells, im warning you..stay away, the smell can become too much at times, especially when one has a small bathroom, and not much room is left for the smell to dissapear into..

I definitely enjoyed this bodywash. From the fragrance to foaminess and the feel of my skin after I rinsed it off. Even left my bathroom smelling divine ! My kids complimented me on how nice my skin felt and smelt. The most honest opinions come from them. I would recommend it to anyone who needs their spirits lifted on those gloomy cold winter evenings. Creates a wonderful ambience to step out of the shower smelling and feeling warm and beautiful

I have, literally, been using the Lux Sheer Twilight body wash everyday (almost two weeks)since Beauty Bulletin sent it to me and I will definitely purchase it once my 200ml is finished. I loved its intense fragrance, the creamy lather and its moisturizing quality. Great product!

An added bonus is that my daughter loves Lux Fine Fragrance Sheer Twilight Body Beauty Wash as well which makes shopping easier - one less product on the bathroom shelf! My new favourite treat, a royal spa experience for next to nothing! I'm off to buy other fragrances in this range for sure. The bottle says 20 washes but I got almost twice that, Lux have outdone themselves!

The LUX sheer twilight body wash smells heavenly!!! the smell really lasts the whole day, and i love smelling great all day! it leaves your skin feeling great and clean! the smell and texture just calms you and really make you feel great. this is really a winner in fragrance and texture!!

I was soooo excited to receive my lux beauty body wash. I do not get a lot of free time to pamper myself and jumped at the chance to do so with lux.
The body wash itself was thick and had a warm red color. Just a few rubs on a pouf and a lot of bubbles and foam is created that you can lather over your body. After rinsing the lather off, you are still able to smell the rich fragrance. In fact you can smell the scent up to 8 hours after using it. Tested it myself! So yes, I defenately recommend lux beauty body wash: scarlet blossom!

Normally I only use white or clear body washes, as my skin gets irritated quickly, and with colored washing products I get a skin breakout 90% of the time.
So I gave the Lux Scarlet Blossom a try...
First of all, the fragrance of the body wash is GREAT!!, I could smell the Body wash on me the whole time, and my husband also asked what that great smell was :)....and secondly, I really though that I would get a Rash, but with the creamy foam the body wash makes, it made my skin even softer and could feel the difference immediately .So Thank You very much for sending me the Scarlet Blossom Body Wash,I will definitely recommend it to people with dry, itchy , irritated or even soft skin for even more softer skin :)

i used to use LUx body washes back in the day but stopped because the price was ridiculous for the amount of product.
when i received the LUX body wash in sheer twilight i was unimpressed with the packaging. maybe i'm too fussy but to me it looks like someone is trying to make a common brand feel exclusive - it screams cheap. but that's probably just me.
the next morning i used it in the shower and i was pleasantly surprised. the wash is rich and thick and gloopy, just like a wash should be, but you don't need superman muscles to get it out of the bottle. i hate feeling like i have to work hard to use something i've paid for, so a product that comes out of its container so easily is already halfway winning.
i love the smell of the sheer twilight lux body wash. it's not overpowering and neither is it barely noticeable - yes, i would go so far as to say it's just right.
it's not drying on skin which is another win, especially given these chilly days (can winter be over already!).

I have found that they do in fact have this with a matching body lotion at the shops now which made me quite excited!
However, after 3 uses of the wash I actually had a reaction to it. I've used Lux products before with only the best results so I think it may have been the strong fragrance in this one that affected my skin, making it break out in a rash. Luckily I have some cream at home that helped fix it!

The body wash product was the first product in this range that i've bought and just fell in love with it! The smell was unbelievable..as if they've made it for me!
The fragrance is made from the following scents: Black Orchid & Juniper Oil! So now you can probably guess what my flower would be that i like....it's black Orchid!

I've been using this product for a while now and I absolutely love the Sheer Twilight body wash by Lux. It smells amazing and is so well priced, it is an affordable product to use all the time. It really does give my skin such a lovely smell and smooth feel.

I received the Lux Sheer Twilight body wash to trest and was very excited! The television ads are very "sexy" , the colours of the packaging are striking making it very alluring and the smell is to die for when you first open the bottle! The actual product makes lovely bubbles when first applied to the pouf, but it doesn't last long and I have found that I have to reapply the gel on several occasions. The fragrance is also beautiful as mentioned before, but sadly also fades very quickly. This is nice as a backup product (when my regular body wash runs out), but I would not purchase it in store as is. In my personal experience, you use more of the product therefor making it more expensive than it's competitors.
